I haven't gotten any DVDs since around the beginning of January. Here's what I picked up recently:
I'm a James Bond completist so I got:

Future Shop $29.99 3-disc Collector's Edition
I already have the 2-disc set of Casino Royale that came out in 2007. However that initial release had an audio problem. Apparently it was caused by that pirating software that Sony had installed on it. I only found this out by doing a search on Google and finding out on other message boards that other people ware having the same problem. Throughout the movie the audio would go really quite for a few seconds and then get loud again. It's very annoying when you are watching it. So, I'm hoping that issue was fixed with this 3-disc collector's edition. Comes with a small booklet about the making of the movie. Love Casino Royale, it is the first Bond movie in the franchise that matches the style of Ian Fleming's litarery Bond. Yes, there are parts that are different in the book, but it ain't no
Die Another Day or
Moonraker.
And continuing with the Bond Franchise, I picked up Casino Royale Part II:
Quantum of Solace:

Future Shop $26.99
Does anybody happen to know what's with the big cutout recyle logo on both the front and back covers of the DVD case?
I've got all the previous 007 movies so right now my collection is complete until Bond 23 comes out in 2011. (probably November as always)
I also picked up:

Future Shop $11.99
I thought not bad for two movies for $11.99 and you get a free ticket to see the new DisneyNature flick
Earth. It's funny all the movies on the shelf that have the free ticket have something to do with animals.

Also on the shelf with a free ticket is Last Flight of Noah's Ark. It's only $7.99 so I may pick that one up next week. No movie rewards points with these movies, but the Earth ticket stub is worth 50 points.
I found out I can get
Bolt and
Pinocchio for free so I'll be picking those up next week.

Did I forget to mention this?
Got it for Easter. Not particularly good, but I'm open-minded.

I guess this can go here...
I just received my "iCarly" DVD sets, and the first one had full-color artwork on both discs, but the second set pulled a Disney- they were grey (silver? grey?) discs with no color, just like what Disney's been doing lately. So, for those who complain about Disney doing that, they're not the only ones.

Excellent choice, Dottie. The movie surprised me, as I expected it to be a straightforward romcom. Turned out to be better than that and above my expectations.
Anyway, I gave up buying DVDs during Lent, and really haven't bought much since Easter...

I wouldn't mind owning the other five movies from the "Love Comes Softly" series, but I don't really like them as much as I do these three. The one thing I dislike is that all the DVDs are barebones, with
Love's Enduring Promise and
Love's Long Journey only in 1.33:1 rather than 1.78:1.

I got my Mickey Mouse in Living Color Volume 2 Treasures tin in the mail today.
I was relieved when I found out it was not a bootleg, though one of the discs were dislodged and the case (not the tin) was upside down. I just switched the case with another one.

It's a blind-buy for me, but I've heard only good things about this movie and I didn't catch it in theaters, so I got it now that the price was really good. I'll probably watch it Sunday or sometime next week. I love romcoms (heck, I even loved 27 Dresses) and it's always nice to see one that is a bit unconventional.
