So that new fireworks show at WDW, “The Magic, The Memories and You!”, that tackily features peoples' Photopass pictures taken throughout the day is also premiering at Disneyland. However, the show takes place at It's A Small World instead of the castle. Um, ick? Yeah, yeah. I know that it's a whole lot easier to project images over Disneyland's It's A Small World, but I was down on the new show anyway. To not have fireworks over the castle makes it even worse.

Did you see this other thread that talks of Photopass taking over so that you can only see characters when you have an option to get a Photopass with them?

What does everyone know of this Photomassacre?

Yeah, I did hear about the Photopass thing with the characters. I really hope it isn't carried through, as it is first and foremost a scam for more money, and a trip to a Disney park costs so much in the first place. Furthermore, the only characters anybody would be able to see are Mickey and friends, Pooh and friends, a few princesses, the odd Pixar character and one or two characters from a newly released film. And aside from some of the really popular characters being confined to enclosed areas because of their popularity, it's better for the characters to be ambiance performers; it does give an extra-dimension to the environment to see Alice by the tea cups, or Brer Fox and Brer Bear in Critter Country, or various fantasy characters around the castle. I really hope that the Photopass scenario does come to pass, otherwise I think we should all complain. :|

Disney have said that this isn't happening so I wouldn't worry about it.

If you pause when they show the The Princess and the Frog parade float at 02:35, you can see Evinrude from The Rescuers on it!
I did a double take while watching. Neat little easter egg for fans.

Turns out Fantasyland at Disneyland will get an expansion too! :)

FROM http://taoayumu.tumblr.com/post/9142736911:
More information on the Fantasy Faire; Rapunzel’s tower and Brave’s Merida will be part of the Fantasy Faire

Today at the D23 Expo, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs and Disneyland Resort PresidentGeorge Kalogridis announced an exciting transformation poised to take place at Disneyland park.

The boundaries of Fantasyland are expanding with a brand new experience called Fantasy Faire. For this project, Carnations Plaza Gardens Stage is being reimagined into an enchanting village square that will immerse guests in the stories of their favorite princesses in exciting new ways.

Guests will travel through a village square surrounded by fairytale cottages and pavilions to the heart of the square – Tangled Tower, inspired by the film. The village square will come alive with activities and entertainment, including a Royal Ribbon Parade where guests can dance and interact with Belle or Rapunzel. Guests can visit the their favorite Disney royalty from such films as “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Cinderella,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Tangled” and the upcoming Disney•Pixar film, “Brave.”

‪The Fantasy Faire Stage will be a new entertainment venue where the stories of Disney’s fairy tale heroes and heroines will be brought to life, letting guests become part of the story as well.

‪And at night, the Fantasy Faire Stage will come alive with the classic music and dance offerings that Disneyland park guests have loved for years.

Anyone have an idea when Carsland will open? I'm guessing it'll open late-May or early-June next year. Of course, I'm not sure when my family and I will go to Disneyland, but next summer for sure; hopefully by the time Carsland opens, simply because my brothers love the first and second movie. And one of them is eighteen years old.
