I have returned from holidays, fresh and ready to get back into things.

Things I purchased while I was away

Another one I've been wanting to see since the pretty interesting reviews came in!

And, a couple I ordered used, purely out of morbid curiosity. And cheapness:

Well, I went to Best Buy to go and get "The Return of the King: Special Extended Edition DVD" and it happened to not be there. So, instead, I opted for this:

for $14.99. Not a bad price, and since I've never seen it, I finally got the chance. I watched it, and I really, really liked it, except for one thing: Idina's "Cow" protest. It was kinda weird, and watching it just seemed odd. That and seeing her lower extremities.

It got moved because it's not really a discussion...just a "Buy and Tell" xD

The Muppet Show Season 2

On my copy the fuzzy stuff that is glued to the normal cover is a little off center, but now it looks as if the gold letters had a shadow which kind of a cool effect.

This weeks purchases:

From Sanity

The Simpsons: The Complete 9th Season (Lisa Head) $A29.95 (normally retails here for $A59.95 but was reduced due to the recent premiere of The Simpsons Movie here)

and from HMV:

Ren and Stimpy: Seasons 3 and a Halfish (normally retailing for $A32.95, but due to the store's closure (Mid City Centre store) I got the DVD for $A27.95

I would have got it for less, but I forgot I had a Pulse $5 discount voucher. Never mind, I'll use that for the Australian release of the Mythbusters Pirate Special (due for release here next week, but I'll buy it the week after)

A few I just had to have because of their rave reviews from so many horror sites (and Roger Ebert, save for Bones, which strangely he didn't review):
