but back to Enchanted. Is anyone else mad we didn't get to hear some of the music in the trailer?
I wanna hear the songs. Wanna know if they're good...

Not really mad, but I would have loved to see something from the big musical number in Central Park. But I think there will be other trailers where some music will be included.

I saw a trailer for this during POTC 3 and I've already heard of it but when Patrick Dempsey (sp?) showed up almost every single female in that theatre gasped it was funny.
I'm not sure that they are going to have a huge muscial number at all. In the commercial when the prince tried to he was pushed over by bikers. And really they're sorta having a big laugh at themselves and all Disney movies. I mean they're able to laugh at it enjoy it and realize its okay to watch those movies. And maybe a fairy tale is possible right here in the real world.

They will have at least one big musical number. Some footage of this exists on youtube and a bit is in the trailer if I remember correctly.
Why would they need Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz if the characters wouldn't get to sing the song?
The real big musical number was shot in Central Park.
Menken: "Here are the songs you wanted from me and Stephen!"
Producers: "They're great, but actually the characters won't sing."
Menken: "What?"
Prosucers: "Yeah, we thought it'd be nice to just let them start and then not finish"

Oh yeah, I remember that scene now. The one in central park and tons of people circling off of Giselle. I love Menken and Schwartz though so the music should be good

I'm sure that the Prince DOES break back into his song after he gets up and dusts himself off a bit....

Those are really good, oh how I love the 2-D. The first picture makes her look more seductive than I thought Giselle would, there's a bit of Meg and Esmeralda in her yet
The part that I already love about as the article quotes is the "only way this was going to work is if we can take the 'Mickey' out of ourselves, so to speak, so we can look back at who we are and be able to laugh," I love that they're looking back and able to laugh at themselves and still be comletely serious and loving when it comes to past films. It just seems that they might acutally put some more realist into it, besides the magic and curses and singing and all that jazz

I like that first picture. It really strikes me as something from the early 90s somehow. I wish I could put my finger on what about the movie in general strikes me as early 90s/late 80s....
but that second picture looks like an awkward Ariel..

I saw the trailer for this movie when I saw the sneak peak of "Ratatouille" last weekend and I have to say it looks kinda cute. I doubt I will go see it in the theater, to me it seems like more of a 'wait for rental' movie. Idina Menzel is in it, so I have to at least see it!!

Does anyone else find it odd that whenever we see images of Giselle in her wedding gown or in her live-action counterpart, her hair's strawberry blonde/auburn, and yet every pic of her in the pink dress and flowers shows her as wheat blonde? I'm curious to see an actual animation frame of her in the pink dress to see if her hair for some reason really is blonde in those shots, or if Disney's pulling a Cinderella on us and changing her hair color for clipart.

I guess it's a design thing. When it comes to art, you're doing more than just imitating the colors you see, but formulating them so they fit together well.
... I sill dont' see why that warrants making Sebastian's eyes yellow.
Anyhow, the music in that game certainly doesn't have me "enchanted," that's for sure. Let's hope it at least has a save feature.
Seems to be mostly an exploration type game, with platforming elements.

Well Amy Adam's hair is pretty red, not much blond in it at all. I'm assuming they went for a more strawberry blond color for the animation, to get away from looking like Ariel. Its weird that her hair color changes through the animation though. Though Purin also has a point with the design stuff.
The game looks like its focused for little kids and more based on Giselle's homeland.
