It has already been reported that Aristocats wouldn't come this year (like a million times). I do think we'll get a release in May or April, though.
Did you mean not this Month rather than Not this Year???

yes i do know its been announced, thank you, i meant that it didnt have ANY date listed at all for this month (yes im srry i did mean this month). But this made me think that maybe it wouldnt come out at all this year. Considering Disney usually only releases 2 or 3 movies...
but nvm forget i said anything since everyone is saying that they assume it'll be out in april or may...

I just picked up my copy of "Cinderella III", and the insert is still in there. I mean, that makes sense, seeing as how it'd be really hard to get them out already. It's unfortunate that it's false advertising and getting people's hopes up.

yeah it really is. I was really looking forward to that release. It's one of my favorite disney movies.
The aristocats was playing on the disney channel yesterday though, and usually that means it is being released, like with robin hood, but i am not going to get my hopes up...

wow, ok i'm excited! this looks a lot better that it'll actually be a 2-disc treatment afterall!!!!
Now as far as the cover art goes... WTF! it's disgusting!!! It doesn't look like any of the characters are on model, and the way the title is presented is so lame. come on disney! The only thing i like about this cover art is the paris skyline in the background with the HUGE moon. The colors seem to work as well, except for the title box. That REALLY needs to change.

Well, remember it's probably the temp cover that has clip art as the placeholders for now before they get the final art done. Just like Peter Pan:

Well yeah that's kind of what i'm assuming, but i don't know if they'll make that many changes. Then again they completely changed The Fox and the Hound 2 cover art around, and they also change Cinderella III's art too. I don't know, i guess we'll see but for now i'm not that happy about it. Then again, i'll probably grow to love it since i'm anticipating this release more and more everyday.

Even though I don't care for the Aristocats much, I have to admit that cover art is pretty nice. My only complaints would be that Duchess' eyes need to be changed to black, and Edgar's hair to dark gray. I'm shocked that not only is this a 2-disc set, but it's actually being called a SE instead of some cheesy name. Has Disney gone back to their senses, afterall? If so, here's hoping the Friendship Edition of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh becomes a 2-disc SE or 2-disc 30th Anniversary Edition. If that happens, I'm so picking it up. As for Aristocats, like I said before, I'm not much of a fan, but I'll be adding this to my collection, regardless.

Hmm. Not bad. And no cheesy name. But LOL @ the danfrandes edition. Though they put Marie on the side of the box...that mildly annoys me, though I guess she is a big thing elsewhere...

Actually, that's Duchess, not Marie. I do agree, though, that putting sidekicks on the spine is annoying (I'm looking at YOU, Beauty and the Beast).

Ah, so it is! Good, that's a relief, assuming it stays that way. And I agree, "Beauty and the Beast" just annoyed me. Maybe the eventual rerelease will improve upon it.

Now if only Disney would stop with this "FastPlay" nonsense, this release would be perfect

It doesn't look like clipart...I mean, with Peter Pan, you could tell the artwork was fake-y. I don't really see fake-ish-ness in this cover.
I don't muh like it, either. I'm incredibly happy that it's 2-Disc, but the cover doesn't look quite busy enough for a Disney DVD, you know? The logo looks a little small, too.

Here's somthing else that just hit me that i don't like about it. look at O'Malley's eyes. Anyone else see his lazy eye? I also think that it's not busy enough either, and i think that's my biggest problem because it just doesn't look right.
I think Edgar and his 2 dogs could be bigger, and maybe more of the cat gang be added. And if the logo was the same as the one in the advertisement that lighthousemike provided on the first page i'd be a whole lot happier. Also, the logo shouldn't have the Walt Disney Pictures Presents header. It should be just Disney's The Aristocats. Like on the Robin Hood:Most Wanted Edition. The title of Walt Disney Pictures didn't exist yet.

You know, the more I look at it, the more I agree with you all about the cover art. I think what mainly attracted me to it was the background, whcih I still think is stunning.
