I agree.
I really love the early “Mermaid” albums; I wish they did more of these, and the other princesses, too, but with their real personalities.

Also, in the Sleeping Beauty Diamond trailer, its been dubbed yet again … I don't think I've seen a trailer for the past 20 years or so where it hasnt been dubbed ! Is it Leslie French as Aurora in it you think ?
I think I've never heard Leslie French speaking for Aurora, I've always heard her singing for her, so I don't know if it is her or not.

Like, going from Ariel for example. I know it was used in The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventures, but it was subsequently rerecorded for the various Princess CDs; the track is 'In Harmony' :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxWe-u1nwE4
It's a wonderful song, celebrating individuality and how everyone can get along.
Compared to this, 'Manners & Etiquette' from the Princess Tea Party Album:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtOp6TdGOBs
There are only a few years in between, but its just so … basic. I know I'm looking into this way too deep; but thats what the Princess are becoming - a generic, cookie cutter set of girls who are losing who they really are, and were created to be which is such a shame. You can
see Ariel's personality in 'Harmony' - she's fun and silly and wants to celebrate everything about everyone, and we can all get along as we are
supposed to be different. That, for me, is the same featured in the first film and the TV Series. The 'Manners' song could be any of the Princesses; there is nothing to show any personality from one or the other. When in the world did Ariel have a vast desire to 'hold her head errect' when she walked in to a room ?

The Ariel I know would have ran or laughed in, and would have been her usual kind of goofy self …. not this uniformly 'I AM A PRINCESS' mantra.
Heck, even Jennifer Hale had to stop voicing Aurora as she was beginning to sound too similar to her Cinderella, as she said the girls would regularly say the exact same thing, and they were beginning to merge into one.
Again, I know I've gone too deep into this, but conclusion is that the Princesses should be given their personalities back - they are, from their original films, inspiring, strong, nature and animal loving, happy, charming people - I say, bring it back! Its what these characters deserve.
And it can only serve as inspiration for the next generation of girls and boys who will be looking up to these characters.
"I made myself a little mix tape for the car of Disney Princess music (I know, I know, I'm just too cool)" Lol this made me laugh. Because it's the coolest thing I've heard all week
I agree it's a shame all the princesses are becoming a bland image of their former selves. I LOVE the song "In Harmony" It's cute and shows off Ariel's accepting, fun loving personality so well. The "Manners" song is so bland and out of character. It would have been better song for Aurora or Snow. This is another favorite Ariel song of mine:

Haha, well, I'm glad I could make you smile
Jay !
That's exactly the right definition, 'a bland image of their former selves'; it is completely unnecessary as people everywhere love them as their original counterparts. Heck, Frozen and Tangled are testament to that; all three of them are / were huge before being inducted into the Princess line and becoming obsessed by tea parties and being perfect.
And yes, that song is lovely as well ! I also love 'Sing A Happier Song' as well, so sweet.

I completely disagree. I think the princesses still have their personalities and are still themselves!

Either this is a one off, or Jodi has been replaced .... I really don't think it's her

That doesn't sound like Jodi at all. I don't understand why they couldn't use the soundtrack for that toy, they did with the Frozen one.
If they replaced Jodi I will be really upset.

Well, we all knew the day was going to come when it happened. I realized it wasn't too far off when they had the horrible replacement for Kenneth Mars in
Ariel's Beginning. Nobody will ever sound as good as Jodi though.

She just did Ariel in Sofia the First though which is what I don't get ?

Ariel's voice isn't Jodi's here and I'm just curious if anyone knows anything?

What I don´t understand is why.
It´s not new dialogue. It´s Part of Your World. Couldn´t Disney use the song from the movie the same way they did Elsa?

There comes a time when there comes a time when the actor gets replaced.
For example, Harley Quinn. In the whole animated series, the Batman Beyond movie and even the first Batman Arkham game it was Arleen Sorkin:

And then, she got replaced for Tara Strong...and to be honest, I can´t tell the difference:

MerPrincessJamie, I literally just posted this in the 'Disney Princess Voices' thread, and you also responded in there as well. I'm not sure we needed a whole new thread for it ?

There wasn't a statement made about any of the other vocal work; Paige was the one that explained about being fired from Belle. Disney never formally announced anything.
I just don't get either not using the original soundtrack as the Frozen doll did, or using Jodi as they did mere months ago for Sofia the First. Unless that was her last ever appearance as Ariel ….
I knew this day would come, but I'm genuinely heartbroken if she really has gone.
