Finally got a chance to play a Wii. My friend has one so I went over and played some Zelda, Wii Sports, and Dragonball. The controller wasn't as comfortable as I thought it would be and it took me awhile before I got used to using the Wiimote. I'm really not sure I like the control scheme for Zelda. It just seemed like it would be better with a Gamecube controller. Maybe if I spent more time with it, since we mainly played multiplayer games yesterday.

Also today my arm is actually sore from all the games we played. I didn't go crazy and swing the Wiimote around like on the commercials either. I just played normal, but I guess all the movement "worked out" the muscles in my arm. Who knows...

Do I still like the Wii? Yes, its a lot of fun. Although it does take awhile to get use to it. I will get one, but I'm not sure when.

Haven't gone as far as checking my number yet, but I bought a USB connector today and it seems to work perfectly.

Should be online with the Wii quite frequently now, as I can use my existing broadband connection with this thing. So yay!

Now all I need to do is get some Wii points and start downloading VC games. Just wondering how safe it is to use my credit card via the Wii, or if I should get some cards via a local games shop. Either way, quite excited by this. The trial version of Opera works really well.

I'll have to check and see if Streetfighter is one that gets added to Australia's VC. I've only downloaded two so far, and Sonic is bringing back the joy of a summer 1991/1992 (I guess it was about then) when I borrowed a neighbour's Sega Megadrive (or Genesis as it was known in the US) while he was overseas. Ah classic times, crazy days...

Will have to check the VC when I get home eventually...

Twilight Princess is annoying me at the moment. I make it halfway through the mines, save, then get sent back to the start of the mines as the savepoint. Grrrr. I also seem to be a magnet for lava in every game I play...

America finally got a great Super NES title added to the Virtual Console, before it hits anywhere else (as far as I know). Today, they added The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past!

I hear that they will be adding Super Mario World from the Super NES, next Monday! I hope so.

I'll just wait until next Monday to download The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, to find out if they really are going to put up Super Mario World. If so, I have to buy some more Wii Points, so, I might as well wait to download them both, at that time.

Now, if we can get Donkey Kong Country, I'll be extremely pleased!

Mario Kart 64 has been added to the UK VC. :D There is a headline saying that ghost time trial data is not saved. Just downloaded it!!!!!

I'm loving the VC, been excited all week since I found out Streets of Rage is coming Q1 2007.

I read that Mario Kart 64 will be added to the VC for America, on Monday. I would be excited about this, but, I still have my Nintendo 64, and I have Mario Kart 64. So, there is no reason for me to download this. I'm still hoping that we will get Super Mario World. Even though I recently bought the GameBoy Advance version, and am now playing it on my new Nintendo DS Lite, I would still download it on the VC.

By the way, the News Channel is finally available. I downloaded it, and it is pretty sweet. It's a much better feature than I thought it would be. I'm hoping Nintendo will create many more channels for Wii. It's always fun when they release a new one, especially if it is as cool as the News Channel is.

LOL! I didn't know that the object of that game was to save Madonna from the "skinheads", until I read the description, this morning. I won't download it, because other than Madonna, it doesn't see to have much going for it. In fact, Madonna looks a lot like Little Bo Peep, to me. Instead, I'm finally happy to say that I'll be downloading Super Mario World for the Super NES off of the Virtual Console, today! Yahooo!!!

Am I the only one who finds Wiis to be over rated and not that fun?
