Well I caved and usually I don't do that especially to Disney sequels, when money is tight and I haven't even seen the original movie yet but... While I was working today they put me on a register near the TV's and they were playing Brother Bear II. I watched it like twice while I was helping people out and I thought meh it looks good. It reminds me of Bambi II. Yeah so I caved went to Wal-Mart and got a copy for 21 bucks. I haven't watched it yet so just like Bambi II maybe it wont be a huge disappointment.

Pshaw. Who cares about a slipcover when you've got a second disc of bonus material?
A Saturday that wasn't the one that was yesterday:
The Golden Girls: Season Four $10
The Golden Girls: Season Five $10

Pretty in Pink SE - I didn't intend to buy this as I already have the original release and PIP isn't my favorite John Hughes movie, but it was only $9.9something at Wal-Mart. I thought, "Eh, what the hell. Besides, it contains the original ending!" Shiny slipcover pretty!
I bought this too. Too bad the original ending wasn't actually on there as advertised

grrr....quite angry about that. It's pretty much the main reason I bought it. However, it
is my favorite hughes flick so I felt compelled to buy the dvd once again.

I'm guessing Gamestop.
Yesterday I picked up The Bette Davis Collection, Vol. 2.

Silent Hill R2 PAL
At last, I have Silent Hill. And the UK release has the original theatrical trailer that is (apparently) not on the Sony US release, and a picture gallery of production designs which I think is missing from the US release too. We done Pathe UK.
Doctor Who: Mark of the Rani R2 PAL
Well, its not the greatest Doctor Who, but we do have the Invasion coming in November, complete with newly animated missing episodes, so we have to expect some of the "less appreciated" stories to be released inbetween the best. Regardless, Kate O'Mara is always worth watching.
Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps S6 R2 PAL
Well, the downward slide continues, but its still good for a few good laughs. The "Horror Special" was a bit disappointing though. The first Two Pints release with special features.
The Detectives S2 R2 PAL
Absolutely terrible, but in a good way. Somehow, despite how cheesy the jokes are, it just works. It helps that it looks like the two stars will fall about laughing at any moment themselves. A guilty pleasure.
A Bit of Fry and Laurie S3 R2 PAL
More delightful sketches and wordplay with Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. S3 sees the return of the final cocktail recipe set to "Mr Music" on the piano.
Soupy Twist!
House MD S2 R1 NTSC
More Hugh Laurie in House MD. I still prefer ER though. So there.
Darkwing Duck Vol 1 R1 NTSC
Some cartoon or other.

Red Dwarf - Series I R2 UK
Strangely enough I bought Series 2 years ago, but I finally got S1. I used to have series one on VHS about 8 years ago and I haven't seen it since. It was nice seeing it again, definitely a fantastic set of episodes.
Are You Being Served? - Series 3 R2 UK
Series 1 and 2 were a bit iffy in places, but series 3 definitely sees the show on top form, everything was perfect. Plus Mrs Sloacombe's pussy is on top form!
Dumbo R2 UK
Right here's the story. I bought the original UK release back in November 2001, sold it in January 2005 when I knew it was being re-released, hoping a new version was on the way. When I found out the 2005 re-release was the same as the previous version I couldn't be bothered to buy it.
Then when the big top edition was announced for R1 I planned to get that. However when I found out that the big top's 'restoration' actually detracted from certain segments, I decided not to bother. So the other day I saw this for £5.99 and though what the hell.
Those Calloways R2 UK
It's not often I say this, but Luke's an idiot!
I just watched this saw this for the first time, DVD was a complete blind buy and I've completely fallen in love with it. Luke is right, Brian Keith's acting in this is akin to that of a pine coffee table, and 'doom and gloom' certainly seem to be the main ingredients, and it's not action heavy. But Keith aside it's a well acted little gem, I found to be full of charm.

The Catherine Tate Show: Series 1
I just bought this through the UD link to Amazon UK a few minutes ago. It was £8.99 and I'd wanted it for some time, so I went ahead and nabbed it.

Yep, got it at GameStop. I never sell my stuff there, only buy other people's.
It's amazing that GameStop can always have like 20 copies of a Sopranos season for $30 all the time, and yet when The Golden Girls comes along, it's only $12.99 (and $10 when you do a 3 for $30 deal).

Network: awesome movie; can't live without it!
Tron: I've been meaning to buy this one for a while, but I forgot to put it on my wish list. The thread in General Discussions jogged my memory.
Mickey Mouse in Living Color volume 2: Not my first Treasure, but the first one I've actually had in my hands. (I bought Tomorrowland off an Amazon merchant a few days ago...and today I went to Best Buy and I was shocked to find a tucked-away copy for far less than what I paid at Amazon. Me stupid.

) I love the shorts but I absolutely LOATHE Leonard Maltin's constant apologizing.

Well I got to think and I thought seeing how Brother Bear II was good maybe... just may--be the original would be just as good, if not... better. So I went and got
Brother Bear and I bought a Megadeth CD so when I might of confused the cashier pretty good.

Robin Hood: Men In Tights
Actually had a pretty tough time finding this. Best Buy had 4 copies, but none of my other local stores had any. Not sure if they just didn't order them or they sold out.

This weeks purchases:
Open All Hours: The Complete Series 4
Brother Bear 2 *
Angry Kid: The Complete Seasons 1 and 2
* I nearly paid $36.95 (a bit steep for a one disc edition release) but I struck my copy at Woolworths Metro in Town Hall for $27.83
