Having just moved in with my girlfriend, many of the major purchases of the last few weeks have had to do with lounges, beds, appliances and furniture.
However, the one major thing that I am most pleased with has to be my new baby - The Samsung 81cm (32") LCD TV.
Been wanting something like this for years, and now it's all mine! (Well, half mine).

On Sunday, my friends and I saw the goddess herself, Madonna at Boston's TD Banknorth Garden. Here are the souvenirs I picked up:
"Pole Dancer" T-Shirt (XL; merely for shrinkage) - $40.00
Tour Book - $30.00
*tlm
I'm so jealous! I didn't get tickets for this tour. I did see Madonna for the Drowned World Tour, and the Re-Invention Tour (which I won tickets for, from MTV, and was ON THE STAGE!). I wanted to go to this one, but, I could not afford the tickets, and she wasn't coming anywhere close. I love the merchandise she has for this tour. I'm sure it was an amazing experience. Did you get a good seat? Not that anyone sits at a Madonna concert, but, you know what I mean.

Well, since my last post I've managed to do quite well on the Doctor Who toy front, having picked up:
1 Captain Jack 5 inch action figure
1 Cybermen (with wrist gun variant) 5 inch action figure
1 Krillitane 5 inch action figure
1 Werewolf 5 inch action figure (which is more like 6.5 inch, its massive!)
1 10th Doctor 12 inch action figure
1 Cyberman 12 inch action figure
1 10 inch Radio Controlled talking K-9
All I'm missing is the new "New Earth" style scuplt of Rose in the 5 inch figure line (who like the old Rose comes with a "pull-back and go" K-9)

I got the three latest Doctor Who books today:
The Price of Paradise
Laylora - the Paradise Planet. A world of breath-taking beauty, where peace-loving aboriginals live in harmony with their environment. Or do they? The Doctor and Rose arrive to find that the once-perfect eco-system is showing signs of failing. The paradise planet has become a death trap as terrifying creatures from ancient legends appear and stalk the land... Is there a connection between the human explorers who have crash-landed and the savage monsters? What secret lies at the heart of the natives' ancient ceremonies? And what price might one human have to pay to save the only home he has ever known? When a planet itself becomes sick, can there be a cure? The Doctor and Rose find themsleves in a race against time to find out...
The Art of Destruction
The TARDIS lands in 22nd century Africa in the shadow of a dormant volcano. Agri-teams are growing new foodstuffs in the baking soil to help feed the world's starving millions - but the Doctor and Rose have detected an alien signal somewhere close by. When a nightmare force starts surging along the dark volcanic tunnels, the Doctor realizes an ancient trap has been sprung. But who was it meant for? And what is the secret of the eerie statues that stand at the heart of the volcano? Dragged into a centuries-old conflict, Rose and the Doctor are soon elevating survival to an art form - as ancient, alien hands practice arts of destruction all around them...
The Nightmare of Black Island
On a lonely stretch of Welsh coastline, a fisherman is killed by a hideous creature from beneath the waves. When the Doctor and Rose arrive, they discover a village where the children are plagued by nightmares, and the nights are ruled by monsters. The villagers suspect that ancient industrialist Nathanial Morton is to blame, but the Doctor has suspicions of his own. Who are the ancient figures that sleep in the old priory? What are the monsters that prowl the woods after sunset? What is the light that glows in the disused lighthouse on Black Island? As the children's nightmares get worse, the Doctor and Rose discover an alien plot to resurrect an ancient evil...

Ooh! They have an action figure of the Doctor Who werewolf now?!!! I want that! I don't have any Who figures yet though, but I want some! I wonder if there is a site within the U.S. that carries them (or a store).
Anyways, I collect toys as much as I do DVDs, but haven't bought anything lately. Though, I did recently acquire around 3 of the current McDonald's Barbies from 12 Dancing Princesses. Ha, it's not much worth posting here, but it's all I've gotten in a while. My mother did pick up the Disney's Gremlins book for me, but I won't get that till Christmas. Before that, I can't think of what the most recent, non-DVD or CD item I got was... besides that Care Bear I got from a gumball machine at Best Buy while getting Little Mermaid P.E., that is...
Oh, yeah, probably the most recent thing I bought worthy of posting was a three pack of Justice League Unlimited action figures: Batman, Zatanna, and Shining Knight. I mainly bought it for Zatanna, whom I adore from Batman the Animated Series. Also snagged the Lois Lane Barbie from Superman Returns and the Elektra Barbie.
Oh, and over the summer I was sent the Disney Treasures comic collection and the first DuckTales comic collection from a friend.
