After Tangled got a 89 I learned that NO ONE can decide wether I'm gonna like a movie or not.

Even now, I was going through my dash in tumblr and someone posted that they saw Frozen and rated it 5.5/10.
I didn't get mad. I opened the review, read it.. refuted half of the claims (internally) because I believe that the movie was better.. closed it and moved on. Nothing else I can do.

Everyone I know will go see Frozen because of my praise and that's all that I care about when it comes to reviews.

As for the Oscar... I think deep down, we ALL know that Monsters U will win..

Also.. I just noticed.. Frozen has a problem with names.

Kristoff and Marshmallow never introduced their selves. Lol. It kind of makes me think that there was more to the scene with Oaken/the barn and the time between Marshmallow being created and him throwing them out..

and on a side note.. Watch Olaf when Marshmallow is being created. I couldn't believe how funny his facial expression was.

No, there really isn't any sort of vendetta. Why would there be?

That's one think that gets me is that if they did adapt the story faithfully then it would have run into many problems that I saw with other animated movie versions of the Snow Queen. Take the Russian version of the movie its more faithful but it runs into problems with the fact that the Snow Queen as a character is flat, the plot of the movie has holes, seems to be juggling a lot of stuff at one time, have events that don't really connect with each other, and a lot of badly handled side characters.

Also I have a little bone to pick with these people calling for making the movie POC friendly. Mainly do to the fact that there is a lot of Norwegian culture put into this and it implies that a lot of people with gripes against this movie cry diversity but dismiss European cultures as being generic.

84% is a very solid RT score. It's higher than what most movies get. And isnt it the highest rated major animated movie that has come out this year? If not it is very close, because I can't think of one that even broke 80%. Even Miyazakis The Wind Rises only has a 83% on RT right now. From the way some people are acting its as if the movie got a rotten 40% or something.

That, and there is still probably another 100 or so reviews to come in (Most major releases see around 200+ reviews) so It will shift around a little more before settling this weekend. But at the moment, 91 Fresh vs. 17 rotten reviews is pretty damn good.

Absolutely loved it. It lived up to the hype for me and hit all the right notes. It could have been a little better in certain areas, but what movie couldn't? I'm thrilled they produced something so beautiful, funny, and touching in 2013. I had chills in many parts. Let It Go was an experience.

I know everyone is adamant about respecting everyone's opinions, but I'm sorry, I question how receptive some of the negative critics are to Disney in general. That was pure Disney magic. I'd be more willing to understand negative reviews from posters here because I know they come from people who wanted to like it.

I was most surprised by the visuals. They really proved that they can make stunning art with CGI. Breathtaking.

How did you find the pacing? That's my one (big) worry about the film.

Also, did you happen to notice if Hans glanced at the chandelier before misdirecting the crossbow shot? Read this somewhere.

I agree! In fact, there is a piece of me that thinks if they keep making CGI movies like this, I may no longer miss 2D.

The Digital 3D was amazing. I've come to see that Disney's Real D 3D And Digital 3D isn't worth the ticket price to choose that option. However in this movie, I was impressed of all the snow come out and hit the audience. The only reason I chose it was because I had 3 free tickets to see it thanks to some Kellogg's Cereal redemption codes that I saved up for myself, my girlfriend, and my dad.

I'm so excited for this one. Gonna go watch it in the next few days. I'm so happy Disney Animation have found their way again. Ever since PatF in 2009 they've been on a role and making GREAT stories again (from what I've been reading on the internet, "Frozen" has a pretty solid story too). Crossing my fingers that it's gonna make at least as much as "Tangled".

He definitely did not. I've seen it twice now.

Actually, she can, as long as Kristoff is able to handle the burden of ruling a kingdom.

Ok, I really need to read those negative reviews because I don't think they are watching the same movie or have a pole up their rectum.

The "rotten" reviews aren't even that negative. They're more in the "eh" range with their complaints being that they found the songs disappointing and the story to be derivative, perfectly valid opinions even if I disagree with them. None of the "rotten" reviews posted in the RT page are anything like the "it's new, therefore I don't like it" review that was posted a while back. Before overreacting to less positive reviews of a movie, it helps to actually read them and see why those critics weren't enthusiastic about it.

I really liked Frozen a lot, but I have no problem with people not caring for it, if they have valid complaints.

I read some of those reviews but it really seems to be by people who have nostalgia glasses or have a rift against Disney.

It's back to 84% again. Geez the reviews sure are up and down when it comes to Frozen, but I love the fact that both Wreck it-Ralph and Frozen are movies that are not widely agreed upon.
