They covered the "Frog" part in gold sparkles. That's what makes it more appealing.

The logo looks better, I'll admit, but it's still just the lesser of two evils to me. It's depressing that they already had a classy, gorgeous logo and replaced it with this.

Ah well. I might as well get used to seeing this ugly frog font for the next 20 years or so.

anyone happen to have pictures of all the logos for side by side comparison? just for fun.

The logo looks unsettling swell on the art of tpatf book. At first it looked bad, then better, then quite nice. then slightly bad again, but not horrible.

Here you go:

To be honest, the last one looks the best/most professional.

In the article they keep saying that PatF wil be released on Thanksgiving. But that's wrong, isn't it? It was only pushed to December 11, even the disney official site says so.

I still favor the original one, but wow.. I never liked the second one at all, and now that I see it next to the final, and current one, its even more obvious that the middle one looked particularly unfinished and unprofessional.

I was bored so I made this - a mishmash of all previous logos:

^I suppose I'd choose the middle one of those three.

Of the other ones, definitely the new one.

Tiana speaks

:D Well on the logo front I have never been a fan of the original logo so this one is absolute gold to me. However I wanted to draw everyones attention to this video I found on Youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V15dIcXQGmI

Its an interview with the actress playing Tiana. She has some great views on the film, especially when it comes to the Prince and his nationality. All I could say at the end of the clip was 'good on you and well said.' 8) Didnt know if this had been posted yet but I havent seen anything regarding it thus far.

Enjoy! :D

Finally, somebody from the film is speaking up about it(the Prince Controversy).

Also, I think I speak for Rose when I say who wouldn't wanna be in a Disney Animated Feature. Much unlike many other films, being in just about any DAC is guaranteed to immortalize you.

Appears as though "The Beauty and the Beast" will not be Disney's first 3D traditionally animated film:
Upcoming digital 3D movies currently scheduled for release in 2009 include Disney/Pixar's UP, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, G-Force, Final Destination: Death Trip 3D, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Toy Story and Toy Story 2 (3D double feature), Disney's A Christmas Carol, Planet 51, Avatar, and The Princess and The Frog.

Apparently, next Tuesday there is a sneak preview. I guess this is to get audience feedback if there is anything that needs to be changed before December. I read it here on Micechat:

I wonder what the audiences' initial reaction will be?

It seems the logo for "The Princess and the Frog" has come full circle from where it began in 2005:

Here it is today, from the official trailer that will debut with Up:

2005:

the gold gilded font returned, as did the blue bayou background.

Aww, nuts. They are so lucky! :(

And as for PatF being in Disney Digital 3D, that can't be real!

Y'know, they're doing BatB, but this still didn't show up on the 3D list, so it seems unlikely.

If you're talking about this:

...notice it says "announced". That leaves room for changes.

Now, instead of griping about the title (which, just for the record, looked better without the sparkles on the "Frog" part) here's some NEW footage (first up close look at the villian and Naveen the human animated, plus we hear Keith David and, more of, Bruno Campos!) that was shown during an interview with John Lasseter:

SPOILER WARNING!
If you know the basic plot, this shouldn't bother you. And if you don't know the plot, at least watch without the audio, the animation, even from being taped from a TV screen, is very good!

CONTENTS
0:17-20: Little Tiana sees a frog.
0:35-55: Prince Naveen tells Tiana his backstory. We see Dr. Facilier and a bit of Naveen's transformation.
1:01-09: More of Tiana and Naveen's first meeting.
1:13-18: Facilier lures in Naveen.
1:19-26: Clips of Louie the Alligator and Ray the Lightning Bug.
1:31-:37: More of Tiana and Naveen's meeting.
