There's been quite a lot of things worth redeeming the past month or two, what with the Disney Movie Club closing, I guess. And I've actually had points since I'd ordered some exclusive stuff from the DMC before it goes down. I've got both of the TLM 2023 posters that I'd wanted (the one with her on the rock with the swirling clouds and the other with her on the rock in an "Under the Sea"-esque scene), the Brother Bear 2-pack with the original poster as cover, Patch's London Adventure. I wanted to get The Jungle Book with the original poster, too, but it disappeared. Maybe I'll get the Asha pop since they've had that on there and I'm not too far off from the number they're asking for it.

As there has been quite a lot of (particularly recent) movies dropping on Disney movie insiders Canada lately, a decent amount of which are ones that I am looking for, I am on the verge of running out of points soon, So I was wondering if it wouldn’t be too much to ask, If anyone (in Canada) could possibly redeem/get any of the movies or possibly whatever else For me, with me providing my shipping address, if such a time comes when I do not have enough points to get them. I may be able to provide some points for you and or something else in return, but just as you very well know, it’s becoming harder and harder to be able to get points, let alone a Substantial amount That would be required to be able to get Blu-rays And books, which are the rewards that I am looking for.

Thank you for your consideration

They just sent an email:
The Disney Movie Insiders program will sunset on December 4, 2024. Over the coming months, we encourage you to redeem your points for rewards from our collection. Points can continue to be used on a variety of offerings, including posters, movies, Disney Gift Cards, sweepstakes, and more.
September 6th is the last day to earn points. December 3rd is the last day to redeem points. December 4th accounts close and the program ends. December 17th Member Services ends.

Well, I figured this was coming. I’ll have to check my points to see if I can even redeem anything. September 6th is so soon!!!

I hope all the employees keep their employ and just move to different departments.

Disney’s era of physical media is truly dead.

EDIT: just redeemed Oz the Great and Powerful. I have 430 points left. They say they’re going to continue adding rewards, hopefully they’ll have something small I can spend those last remaining points on. When I reached the website, it said the program had ran for 18 years— I remember when it started! I remember reading discussions about it on this board. Time flies.

If anyone in the US is wanting to use up their points, please DM me, because I would not mind getting some rewards that are only in the US :-) We can arrange for you to ship it to a US address that can get it to me here in Canada because I otherwise cannot access those rewards :-)

I'm not too surprised that this is happening, but I wish they'd at least wave their standard 5 code redemptions per day rule, I have a lot of codes to use and may not be able to redeem them all before the 6th. Or at least give us one more week- Inside Out 2 comes out next week, after all.

So far I've done another random DMC order, this time a 3-pack (I've done two solos so far and I've received Blus of both Hunchback of Notre Dame movies and the first Cars, the latter in its Disney 100 packaging). I wanted to finally score the Ink & Paint book, but that sold out, so I'm going to wait and see if something else appealing is revealed in the next few weeks, or I'll just use my points ordering more movies.

I've messaged DMI on Facebook, and they refuse to wave this rule, so I'll be missing out on a bunch of potential points. Very disappointed, I wish we had more time- at least when DMC shut down, we had a couple of months to make final purchases.

At least the rewards will still be available and they'll be adding more until December, so I hopefully have a chance to use what I still have left.

It’s probably way too late, but I wouldn’t mind taking some points that you can’t use if you will DM them to me :-)

I think it's bonkers they're closing the rewards site. Now, closing the DMC made sense to me even though it made me sad since it meant there won't be a place for them to release exclusives anymore, but closing the rewards site doesn't make sense at all. Even if they did away with physical versions of film for rewards eventually, they could still have plushes, artwork, posters, etc. on there as rewards.

Just got my first set of leftover DMC Blu orders:

-Peter Pan
-Mickey and Friends: 10 Classic Shorts Volume 2
-The Little Mermaid (23)

I already own Peter Pan, although I like the vintage cover. I didn't own the live-action Little Mermaid, it's better than most of the remakes, but I don't know if I need it. Now the shorts collection, this I'm curious to see some of the restorations.
