I actually agree that Rapunzel looked superior and actually more beautiful hand drawn. Flynn Rider, however, looked more handsome in CGI.
Of course, I still think the most guaranteed way that the characters would have looked good is if they were hand-drawn. People may argue that it couldn't be hand-drawn cause of the hair, but how do you know that? They probably could have done what they did with Silver in Treasure Planet and have only the hair be CGI.
Good suggestion.

Well I think Prince Naveen's got him beat. He was sexy handsome even as an amphibian, and no medium can pull that off better than hand-drawn.

Why do I have a sinking feeling that this is going to be Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez's next project? Does anyone else feel this way?

Well, we'll probably hear in a mere day or two who the songwriters are anyway. D23 Expo hype.
Still, I don't know about the Lopezes. If they were doing Moana, I'd imagine that Disney would have announced them earlier rather than waiting until D23.

I'll be praying it's not Randy Newman, the less said about him the better.

Is this a question? I assumed all their new musicals would be using the Lopezes by default.
But, seriously, if Randy Newman is ever brought back to Disney, I will be so pissed. After Menken was dropkicked out of the place because of the excuse that
Tangled's soundtrack wasn't good enough, they'll bring the guy who did TP&TF, with music that was almost uniformly panned. And, besides what happened to Menken, Newman is flat-out awful for any musical. (How awesome would it have been to have amazing voices like Anika Noni Rose and Keith David paired with Menken?? *dreamy starry eyes*)

Sighs. It could be.

Why are people, forgetting about this?

Plus, it seems like Lasseter has thrown Randy Newman away, like he did to Alan Menken.

Oh, I almost forgot about that, thanks. Don't get me wrong the Lopez's are really, really good composers and after
Frozen I would expect them to work on another musical after it. Thank goodness it won't be Randy Newman, his so called "song-writing" isn't up to snuff.

^I don't think so. The stickers are placed chronologically. Frozen Fever, Zootopia, and Moana. It may not be Maui but it's definitely Moana-related.

Yep, that's Maui. You can tell cause of his staff-hook. We've seen it before earlier this year:
As for that covered-up pin, it better be GIANTS

Why is Giants so hyped up here? Not complaining, just curious. I wonder if there are Giants fans here that've traveled back from the future after seeing the film.

Because of the mysterious pin or w/e it is could be Giants, based on the pattern of the featured projects' release dates

No doubt that Disney would bring back the Lopezes for Moana. They would be dumb not to, after the success of Frozen. Heck, I'd stay it would be worth it to delay the movie if it meant having them on board.
Not a big fan... But they're the best so far...
I loved Stephen Schwartz but I just can't trust him after Enchanted.
As for Randy Newman... I would surprised if he works on another Disney movie. He's attached to The Princess and the Frog which is always a bad thing at WDAS and his songs didn't win the oscar. and they weren't even nominated for the Golden Globe. He's as good as dead to Disney now.

Maui looks great on the shirt! I really hope we're going to see more of Moana though. So far everything about this movie has been Maui and Dwayne Johnson related.

You're actually right. Naveen looked quite good as an amphibian. More than the awfully generic design of frog-Tiana.

Why?

Most likely. I usually detest Newman, but his work for "Princess" was actually quite good and deserves recognition.

I'm just guessing, but probably because the concept is something that is in the vein of true, classically Disney. In the vain of it's previous fairy tales.
