So today i wanted to go and check if Walmart would let me get the soundtrack at midnight, they said no..

So I then went to Best Buy to see if they'll be getting the Deluxe Edition. The employee told me that they only have 2 copies of the deluxe version, but like 20-25 of the regular one. He was nice enough to leave a copy of the deluxe edition with customer service since it wouldn't let me preorder it online.

I saw the regular edition soundtrack and wow. It looks crowded in the back, even he mentioned that there are way too many tracks. I told him to wait and see how many the Deluxe Edition has..

Not only does Australia have to wait a month for the film, it has to wait until November 29 for the soundtrack. Wish I was back in Malaysia right now, they get movies much sooner for whatever reason.

Just a heads up that the deluxe version is only $13.99 on amazon vs. the $19.99 on iTunes.

12 more hours for me.. I would to leave to hear DYWTBAS and Love is an Open door early though..

I have bought the soundtrack on Itunes and I love every single song in Frozen with Love is an Open Door, Let it Go, Fixer Upper, and For the First Time in Forever being the most catchy to the point where they are all the term "ear-wormy".

I can't wait untill I see the movie soon!

I like that they put little introductions before most of the demo songs, helping to understand them a little better.

I really need an instrumental version of DYWTBAS....

That doesn't seem to be very important in the grand scheme though, as a 4 of those top ten "Disney Opening Per Cred" films have been deemed disappointments when all is said and done. If this (clearly) doesn't prelude to being a box office hit, then why do they bother with articles like this, I wonder?

Ok.. so after listening to a bunch of things.. I think I finally found out what I don't like about the songs. And they are 3 big things.

1) They're talking. It doesn't feel like they're singing. It isn't necessarily a bad thing, I mean Defying Gravity is one of my favorite songs and they talk a lot in that song. But in a Disney movie, i feel like they should have focused more on singing. This was the biggest thing that I was worried about. I didn't think that they could pull off the transition from Broadway to Disney movies, and I was mostly right. However, the songs are still 100% better than PATF and Tangled.

3) There are some awkwardly written bad lyrics in the songs and it's really hard for me to listen to them, and most of it is because the characters are talking with music in the background, they are not singing.

2) The orchestration. The drums in general. I really want to get a time machine, travel back in time to when they were making the orchestrations and just dump the drum kits outside of the studio. I listened to the instrumental version of Love is An Open Door and Wow, the drums are so annoying because they are too loud! They over shadow all the other instruments. Same thing with Let it go, drums stand out like a sore thumb!!

Hopefully some experienced DJ or whoever does remixes releases a non-drums version of the songs.

That is hilarious, because I absolutely love the percussion in those two songs.

So far my opinion of the songs is that DYWBAS, For the First Time in Forever, Love is an Open Door, Let it Go, and FTFTIF reprise are fantastic.

In Summer and Fixer Upper are clearly songs that rely on a lot of sight gags, so I'm sure I'll like them more IN the movie, but they won't get a lot of repeat on my iPod, either way.

Frozen Heart, is ok, I have a feeling it will grow on me.

I don't care for Demi's version of Let it Go, especially now that I've heard Idina's.

The ranking of the songs so far:

-Love is an Open Door (Santino Fontana has an amazing voice, and he changes his tone so much in the song[especially in "And it's nothing like I've ever known before]. its cool and that last note that Kristin Bell hits is wow.)
-DYWTBAS - Not really liking Anna's teenage voice (too boyish for Kristen Bell's voice) and I feel like Anna sounds older in the last verse. But it's still a good song.
-For The First Time in Forever (Reprise)
-For the First time in forever
-Fixer-upper
-In summer
-Frozen Heart

Not even gonna count Reindeers because it way too short.

Guys.. the Art of Frozen is up on Disney Store.. How and what and why! It comes out December 3 everywhere else!

Does someone know if a kind american, canadian person can-could-would-will-had publish the score tracks ( not the songs that much, but the Beck score ) on any share torrent source or youtube ? We, european people are dying.

Even though I had heard bits and pieces of the songs already, they still exceeded my expectations.

The ending of "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" is very beautiful and heartbreaking.

The "For the First Time in Forever" reprise is so powerful I can't even imagine the effect it'll have in the context of the film.

"Fixer Upper" is even more fun than I expected. I actually like the second half better than the first half (where all the previously heard clips came from). It's very funny too and probably even better with the visuals. It's the song that REALLY sounds like it came from the minds behind Avenue Q.

I was a little disappointed with "Love is an Open Door." I love the chorus but the verses haven't really clicked with me yet. A little too silly but I know that's the point. I can see it growing on me.

Kristoff's reindeer song is actually very pretty too despite being short and simple. The simplicity worked. I just wish there was more from Groff.

Overall the cast did a GREAT job on the songs. I can't imagine not enjoying the movie with songs as great as these, but we'll see.
