It's not fan made because it will be in a book:

More books with Rapunzel:

I am so GLAD It's not fan made! I hate her designs with her looking at pascal on her shoulder ... it looks nothing like her ... I love the last image btw!!
I think it's unlike Pocahontas's character to wear a dress though :/

speaking on the sequal news
so i was doing some digging the other day on The Rescuers and how Cruella DeVille was intended to be the main villain instead of Madame Madussa (i'm glad that this never happened because i love both villains..) This was changed because ... the idea was dropped since the studio was not interested in producing sequels at the time. And i'm sure i've read it somewhere else that they don't like making sequels now ... i think winnie the pooh was made to promote the Disney Baby franchise :)

and i would rather a short than a sequel any day (Y)

Pocahontas wears that dress in Pocahontas 2 (well, a similar version of the dress)

Whoops, I meant I have no doubt that is NOT fanmade! My bad! :) :) :)

Also, that's soooo cool about Cruella!

Well, with the sequel talk ..... How about Disney put in just as much time and effort into a sequel like Pixar does ..... I wonder how differently they could have turned out ? Cinderella: A Twist In Time comes to mind; they put in a last push of effort, and the movie didn't turn out half bad. In my mind, the songs let the whole picture down quite dramatically if I'm honest. Can you imagine that movie but with Alan Menken music ?? If done right, i imagine it could have been quite beautiful.

I hope he scores this Tangled short .... I see no reason why he wouldn't. He recently rearranged the music for Ariel's Undersea Adventure, so I have no doubt he will have time for this as well !

It kind of looks like some huge Sparkle Monster jizzed all over them. Veeery ugly imo. I don't see why they have to overdose on everything.

@ DisneyDude2010 and all others: I hate to pretend to be a forum mod, but it's really not neccessary to quote that excessively. You really don't need to have four quotes-in-quotes and all images posted again, to comment on them. It's hard keeping sight of what's new and what's old on a forum page this way. So please, all, keep this in mind. Thank you (in advance of your reply).

And could somebody please explain to me why it's good news that Rapunzel is getting robbed from her identity to feature among other off-model princesses on second-rate clip-art decorating the abysmal kiddie-oriented, Disney-brand destroying Princess merchandise?

Chernabog_Rocks and Goliath makes very good points. The Disney Princess brand is cheapening the Disney brand. They will never stop the brand since it makes that much money, but they should at least try to make the princesses more on model and stop with all the sparkle.

Who doesn’t love glitter?

xD

Some princesses have sparkly dresses, look at this commercial:

You can clearly see Cinderella, Ariel and Aurora with sparkly dresses.

:P

Oh, it's not.

What bugs me the most from that picture is Pocahontas. That dress goes against everything she said in the movie. It's sad that Disney feels the need to cheapen their characters and movies like this.

Yes!! that's what i feel about Pocahontas as well if they wanted her in a princess dress they could have made it more traditional or realistic to native Americans !

Yes. And no goddamn sparkles. And actually put some effort into making her look like the Pocahontas in the movie.
