I've just compared on my computer the Platinum DVD transfer with the Diamond transfer from the bonus excerpt put on youtube by Disney and the colors are those same orangey-reddish found on the Platinum...so sad :(

Unfortunately my Macbook cannot capture my DVD so my attempt to
show what I'm talking about is hopeless.

This is what Best Buy and Futureshop are getting.
So that is just the Treasure Sets... Nothing else inside, not even a book?!?!
The Disney Movie Club one, I think is a better deal then just a stupid Tin Cover lol.

Also, if you look closely at the Work in progress scene at the 22 seconds mark shown in the Diamond edition introduction found on Youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdjYmg5F ... r_embedded#!

you'll see that the scene is shown here in cleanup pencil while the same scene as shown in the purported work in progress version found in the Platinum edition doesn't feature this scene in pencil animation but only as the finished animation meaning that the work in progress version found in the Platinum is not exactly the original work in progress version shown at the New York Film Festival in 1991.

I agree! The clips look great! I think we are gonna get a nice transfer this time around that will match more of the orginial colors. :)

But no one knows what is going to be in the Iron Steel Book? :?

Is it going to be like the book coming out this Tuesday (Which I am so getting lol) "Tale As Old As Time" :?
That book is beautiful! I work at Chapters in Canada, and we have them in the backroom, and I was flipping through it. The pictures were just gorgeous. Thank goodness for employee discounts :)

Looks great. Can't wait to pick one up.

Doesn't look like there is a slip cover for it like the Snow White Steelbook last year.

Just to confirm, since I don't think a definite answer has been given yet, is the book that comes with the Disney Movie Club Collector's Edition just a storybook?

Oh! Why don't those guys post screencaps for us to check the color pallette? One single screencap from Belle (Reprise) or from the ball scene would do!

The Ironpack is just an empty placeholder Beast Buy is using for those to pre-order. There is no discs in them.

Not sure if this will help, but here are some pics of the SW&TSD Blu-ray's Collector's Edition cover, steel cover & the book (NOTE: the steel book i got separate for buying 2 of them and just switched the regular cover (from the collector's edition)with the steel book cover). I Also took some pics of the index page and a few pages from the book. It is def' worth it to me. I love my steel book and Collector's Edition. :D

Thanks, Want2beBelle!!! Hmm, that book definitely seems worth it. That was a Disney Movie Club exclusive?

No problem :), No bestbuy had it last year. I wish this year best buy would carry it again, but they're not :/ It sucks that it's a DMC exclusive this year.

Let me be the first to say that I'm saddened over the apparent lack of a slipcover on the ironpack. :(

I love how no one wants the book set to be a DMC exclusive. I guess Disney misjudged their market.

Even though I prefer the standard artwork, I hope that we get something like the ironpack here in the UK. I think that it makes it stand out and look a bit more special.
