Well, what I meant to say is that even though
Chain of Memories is a GBA title... that didn't mean it loss quality.
I mean, of course it can't directly compare to the PS2 version but it amazingly offers the same kind of music, graphic style AND gameplay of the orignal.
PS
I cleared Agrabah (Jafar as cool as usual

) ... and now I'm about to finish
Olympus Colisseum, that is... after Hades beat me up real badly.
... I think this game deserve a speacial place in the site. I mean: Tthese are probably the best Disney games ever (thanks to Square of course) and have represent a style that appeals to all kind of audiences, even establishing its own series.
That's soemthing!!!

Chain of Memories has a lot of pros but it also suffers a lot of cons. The graphics and storyline are amazing but the gameplay and controls are trouble...
Kingdom Hearts RULES!!!!!

I love Kingdom Hearts! It may actually be the best game I've seen in a LONG time! But it's kind of hard and takes a lot of patience... Who knows - maybe someday I'll beat the tower with all those cards that won't stay down for long and get out of Wonderland (or maybe not)?
Since we're talking KH here...I also wanted to ask if anyone out there has any info as far as which lands, characters, etc to expect with the sequel that was SUPPOSED to come out months ago, but will FINALLY be in stores in March... If so, please reply (I'm watching this thread).

Suretainly!
The original worlds that don't come from any movie are Destiny Islands, Twilight Town, and Hollow Bastion. There is another world that has yet to be given a name, so most fans just call it the "Deep Dive" world.
If you want a list of the Disney worlds/movies appearing in the game, there are twelve.
- Beast's Castle (Beauty & the Beast)
- Port Royal (Pirates of the Carribean)
- Timeless River (Steamboat Willie, Mickey's debut short)
- Land of Dragons (Mulan)
- Olympus Coliseum (Hercules)
- Atlantica (The Little Mermaid)
- Pride Lands (The Lion King)
- Space Paranoids (Tron)
- 100 Acre Wood (The Many Adventures of Whinnie the Pooh)
- Agrabah (Aladdin)
- Halloween Town (The Nightmare Before Christmas)
- Disney Castle (This is Mickey and Minnie's home in the game. It's not from a specific movie, but it counts as a Disney world.)
Characters from those movies will be appearing in their respective worlds.

past67: thanks for that, but i must be a little

because I thought Kingdom Hearts had hercules and little mermaid worlds, too, so why would they be in the sequel, too? wouldn't it make sense to have all NEW worlds? i used to WORK for disney and even i'm

Those worlds are probably back by popular demand. People wanted some worlds to return, and Square knew that, so they included them. Don't worry though, the worlds are much bigger this time and they have more complex/different storylines (especially Olympus Coliseum). Me, I'm thrilled to see Halloween Town, Agrabah, Atlantica, 100 Acre Wood, and Olympus Coliseum return. I would've preferred it if Wonderland returned as well (there was so much wasted potential in that level in KH1), but I can live without it.

I'm eagerly anticipating Kingdom Hearts 2. But until it comes out (March 1st! *Crosses Fingers*), I'll just have to make due with watching my Disney DVDs and finishing the first game.
Oh, and I just found this out today. I don't usually go to Book Stores, but I found myself at Barnes & Noble today. Anybody care to guess what I found? TokyoPop has apparently released Vol. 1 of the Kingdom Hearts Manga.

If anyone is having trouble with the first game (especially chapnearwdw who is stuck at an early level), try googling for some walkthroughs or go to the very good and complete one on
http://kh2.co.uk/ I usually try to stay away from "cheat" guides, but it just gets so aggravating sometimes to the point where I start to loathe the game which I don't really want to do.
About KH Manga...yay!!!!!!!! Finally! I've read that it's taken forever to see it in stores. I found a version online, but it was so annoying to wait for each page to load. I know they've already written/drawn up to 2 volumes so hopefully this means they'll continue.

I got the manga for Christmas. That's pretty old news. They don't just have volume 1, they have a lot more than that.

pasta67: thanks for posting a reply again. i agree with you about halloween town - i think it's going to look GREAT! i also would have preferred wonderland over atlantica, but oh well, i guess squaresoft knows what they're doing and i'll just get the sequel and be happy about it...
kram nebeur: thanks for the advice, dude, i'll check it out l8r...

I'm glad Wonderland and Neverland didn't return. Those were the most boring levels in the first game. But I'm glad to have all the other old ones return, as well as seeing Lion King, Mulan and PoTC a world.

There's one thing that makes me sad about no Wonderland...
...no Cheshire Cat!

This saddens me...

I need hel in CHAIN OF MEMORIES.
I'm fighting Capt. Hook and I just can't beat him. I've tried everything but the only couple of times I'm able to drain most of his life, he kicks my butt with his 2 most devastating attacks and I can't even guard.
PS
Starting to remember how frustrating this series are (in my friends house I've been playing the PS2 version and we just can't clear the TARZAN and HERCULES levels; the first for being so frustrating not to know where exactly to go and the camera is AWFUL!!!! and the other one for how hard it is)

Put a bumload of healing cards in your deck. Make a sleight with nothing but healing cards to heal about 70% of your HP when you need to. I suggest that you put all of your highest level keyblade cards in your deck, as well as a huge amount of zero value cards. The zeros will card break Capt. Hook's attacks (even the bombs). He's extremely easy when he can't use the bomb attack, so once you can card break those, attack him head on and heal when you need to. It might take a few tries to get it right, but it will work.

Thanks, I beat him already.
Now I'm in Hollow Bastion about to face Maleficent.
What a wonderful twist to the story to make her the villainess in the "Beauty and the Beast story".
PS
Seriously, when is it going to happen that there's special segment in the site dedcated to these games?
hi everyone im back

i dont know the answer to your question but ive beaten both kingdom hearts games and i loved them both very much, the only thing that got me was the lack of characters in the second game (gba version) everyone was already there (almost) loved it anyway though.
all the topics ive been posting in have died...all of them! i dont think i did it but i feel bad nonetheless we must keep these forums alive!

Ok, so I bought Chain of Memories today at Wal-Mart. ($19.82!) I'm hoping that having this will push me towards beating Kingdom Hearts, then I can start CoM ... which I'll probably slow down on ... but then be pushed to finish when Kingdom Hearts 2 releases.

So, I'm leveling up in Traverse Town tonight as usual. Decided to make the 3rd District part of my rounds, lots of good Heartless to fight. But I found something better than Heartless in 3rd District. I had never noticed it before, but in one corner there's a beautiful golden statue. Turns out my favorite Disney Movie did make it into Kingdom Hearts, though it doesn't have a World based on it ... the 3rd District of Traverse Town is owned by a lovely Lady and The Tramp statue. =D The scene captured is well ... to best describe it ... just look at my Avatar, that's it!
I'm sure this has been brought up a hundred times, but I can't believe it's there. =D So happy!
