D'oh! You're right, I meant Bionic Woman...

However, there is NOTHING in that list that remotely interests me, with the possible exception of LOST. However, I would have to start from the beginning, as that is certainly not a show to come into late...

I can't stand reality shows of any sort (I *might* take a look at Kid Nation,) game shows are just kind of a "pass the time when it's too early to go to bed but too late to put a movie on" kind of thing, and I don't care for most dramas/action shows (except for what I mentioned above.) I like humor, and/or sci-fi shows...

I caught a bit of K-Ville, and didn't care for it... House just comes across as too "snarky" for me...

EDIT: Hmm, Burn Notice... Bruce Campbell is in this one... I *might* try it out! Or not, as it's on the USA network, and I don't have cable... :|

Well to focus on the "prematurely cancelled" and particularly on sitcoms:

Hope and Faith
Mad, wild, zany, care-free, just the sort of sitcom that wasn't too serious and would stretch believability to an extreme in it's ridiculous plots, something quite common with British sitcoms, and very different from the usual Friends/Frasier/Roseanne type of standard sitcom. Perhaps that's why I like it.
Very sad to see it canned :( Kelly Ripa's overexaggerated, almost caricatured character was fantastic.

The Comeback
I don't think any vehicle has showcased Lisa Kudrow's acting and comedy talents as this show. Her timing is brilliant. It's amazing how she can make one simple reaction funny. I used to be a HUGE Friends fan and Phoebe was always my favourite character. But I hate to admit this, but The Comeback proves how much her talents were wasted on Friends. This shows, shows just how much more she could have been used.

The War at Home
I've only just got into this. The episodes have been rotating for a while now on a hardly watched channel here in the UK, where they went straight into a syndicated format. Whilst I haven't seen all the episodes yet, it has it's moments and I'm growing to like it. Even though it's already been sent to the chopping block.

For the current season:
Smallville
Supernatural - Never seen it, but the storyline for this season has me curious
Desperate Housewives - If the first episode can't win me over, I really am done with this show. Lucky for them they pulled the casting of Nathon Fillian, so I'm slightly curious to see the show again.
Lost - Soooo excited
Heroes - For Kristen Bell alone
Gossip Girl - Trashy as it may seem, the pilot has shown a lot of potential
Brothers and Sisters
The Shield

[and if I find it interesting] Bionic Woman. Pushing Daisies has lost me already. The pilot just had zero appeal to me. Also, once Battlestar comes to a conclusion this season I'll be watching the whole show from the beginning on DVD.

Other shows I love that are no longer on: Xena, Buffy, Angel, Friends, Studio 60, Veronica Mars

Of the new shows I'd watch these:

Pushing Daisies (already saw the pilot, totally and absolutely great!! Everyone should at least give it a try)
Dirty Sexy Money
Aliens in America

Old friends:

Grey's Anatomy
House
Ugly Betty
Family Guy
Heroes (I haven't seen it yet it's gonna start here in October, but I am excited for it)
Scrubs

All-time favorites:
Gilmore Girls
Little House on the prairie
The Nanny
The Muppet Show
The Cosby Show
Malcolm in the middle

There aren't a whole lot of new shows I'm planning to check out, however the ones I do intend to give a few weeks to see if they're any good are:

Pushing Daisies
The Reaper
The Tudors (starts in Canada on CBC this season)
Back to You
Torchwood

Current/Returning shows I am (or will be) watching:

Avatar: The Last Airbender (greatest. cartoon. ever)
Heroes
Doctor Who
Monk
My Name Is Earl
The Office
Smallville
Medium (starts in January)
24 (starts in January)
Lost (starts in February

I doubt I'll continue watching all the new shows that are listed... usually out of the many new series every season only 2 or 3 are actually good. Thankfully I never got into watching all the reality TV garbage that pollutes the airwaves these days, so I actually have enough time to have a real life outside of TV. And the majority of those shows are concentrated on Mondays and Thursdays, which leaves me most other nights free.

And finally, my old favourites:

Arrested Development
Firefly
Futurama
Star Trek (TOS -> ENT)
Transformers (G1, Beast Wars/Machines)
Powerpuff Girls
Lost In Space
Dead Like Me
Six Feet Under
Hercules: The Legendary Journeys
Batman: TAS

and a whole lot of others that I can't think of at the moment.

Oh Escapay, you did recall you said to me when COK announced the R2 release of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Complete First Season that you're interested in knowing when Power Rangers in Space will be released. ;)

I will openly admit that I'm a fan of the older Power Ranger shows (up to PRiS) when I was a kid and revisiting them recently just brings back warm, fuzzy memories. They may not be good, quality television but it's a guilty pleasure of mine. Just great fun going back down my childhood memories.

Okay, back on topic:

Cancelled:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Angel
Firefly
Animaniacs
Sabrina the Teenage Witch
Boy Meets World
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Seasons One through Three
Power Rangers Zeo
Power Rangers in Space

On the Air:

Robin Hood
Jekyll
Drawn Together
The Simpsons
Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List
(I won't buy the season sets though)
Heroes
Lost
(only really loved the first season though)

Cancelled shows - how could they cancel San Pedro Beach Bums like that after only about 8 or 9 episodes. Long live Moose.

Eagerly awaiting Smallville and Heroes, which I think both return this week. I have watched Smallville since the first season, and I haven't been happy with all the paths they've chosen to take, but my love for the Superman mythos, cute girls, and all the character cameos keeps me watching.

I'd like to catch that Bionic Woman show, but since I don't even know when it's going to premiere...

Other shows I tend to watch now and then: Monk, Ghost Hunters, A Haunting (NOT MOST HAUNTED), Doctor Who, various shows on Adult Swim, Kim Possible, Lilo and Stitch, Emperor's New School, Good Eats, Supernatural, and random other stuff.

A few of my favorite shows of the past, Dark Shadows (both versions), Kolchak the Night Stalker (original), Frasier, Disneyland in all its incarnations, The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, Sailor Moon, Young Indiana Jones, Buffy, Angel, Werewolf, Twilight Zone, Tales From the Darkside, Monsters, Addams Family, Munsters, most Disney animated shows, the DC comics stuff by Timm/Dini, The Muppet Show, Real Ghostbusters, Teen Wolf, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and lots of other stuff...

What's so different between Ghost Hunters & A Haunting and Most Haunted?

Ghost Hunters is where you go along on investigations with a group of ghost hunters that appear to be legit.

A Haunting is reenactments of claimed hauntings (with witness interview material spliced in).

Most Haunted is incredibly cheesy/fake haunting investigations with British psychics who don't seem the least bit sincere.

Oh, I forgot on my list of shows that I became an instant fan of "Flight of the Conchords" when it first aired, so there's another somewhat new one.

*Runs and hides to hide behind wall for when 2099net reads this and hits the roof"

:shifty:

On a seperate note, does it annoy anyone else that shows like "Friends" and "Seinfeld" etc are being labelled as "cancelled" shows?

I think "ended" or something would be a better word to describe these shows. Cancelled brings to mind the image of something that either:

a) Had low ratings
b) Had awful public response
c) Had awful critical response
d) Starred Geena Davis
