Only thing that bothered me was the fact she has posted this same thread all over the internet, then when people do not answer her, she starts asking why no one is answering her.

I'd go through and delete all my posts, but for some reason, it is not allowing me to do so.

I don't understand why you want so much to delete your posts. Imagine how annoying it might be if somebody was reading this thread for the first time and whenever they came to a reply posted by you, there was a message that said "This reply has been deleted by poster"? If you felt that your previous posts weren't contributing much, chances are you probably shouldn't have made them in the first place. :)

PM - If you would just let the thread die you wouldnt have to worry about it. My quick count of this thread shows Teede 32 posts, you 17, Zoltack 9, Luke and myself 6 posts.

You posted it three consecutive times to bump it up

Dude, you are the one keeping it alive. Just let it die.

This concludes Toad's contributions to this thread once and for all.

Hmm. . . I've been tremendously busy in my personal life, and then my computer gets a nasty virus. And now that I'm back to check in, I find this curiously long thread. . .

I leave for a while and the whole place just falls apart! j/k

But seriously, I think we can trust DisneyKid's statement about Teede's issues, and in that context all these arguments here are just plain pointless and silly! Think about it, guys.

Personally, I would love a GMD sequel, as Basil is one of my favorite characters. I don't think it would be right to bring back Ratigan (as much as I love him) because I don't want to deal with the generic "oh we thought he was dead but he really isn't" plot. Above all else, they'd have to keep Basil's voice. A new villian would be fine. Heck, I think new villians and new stories would be great! As some of you have mentioned, the characters and the structure of the film could easily survive a transition to a TV series, and that could be really cool, albeit unlikely. Unfortunately, it's not among the most popular of the Disney classics.

But we're talking about a theatrical issue? Even if they're currently planning this sequel it's gonna be direct to video release only, not a theatrical one. We know Disney too well to think otherwise. I mean, it's as likely as a theatrical re-issue of the original film! It's obviously not gonna happen, and there's no point in making any arguments from either side.

So let us not get so worked up over such issues. I'll just leave it at that.

Hate to bring this up again, but after seeing Uncle Remus' autism thread, I just had to check it out. Makes me wonder if she's really autistic, or if she's truly faking it. Or perhaps she just is a troll intent on spreading the word of a GMD sequel (which I really would love).

Seriously, though, this topic should be nominated for the next UD awards under "Controversial Topic of the Year".

Strangely enough, I thought the same thing too. Great minds think alike! :)

Well. Maybe you should call DisneyToon Studios and pretend that you're the scientists who keeps secrets from them and find out about the GMD sequel by telling them tomorrow. Trust me. BTW? What's the DisneyToon Studios phone number?

Hey, everything have a begining and an end, and I don´t think that atacking or ofending others is the main reason of this topic.

I´m not talking just to one member but to all who read this and post,

Tedee: if this post dies, so what, it´s not important, or do you think that I´m mad because just there is 3 or 4 post on one of my post?
I think the important here it´s just to share opinions and news, not for fight or atack someone.
I don´t know if this is your first post, but if it is I´m shure you felt bad because no one belived you, it´s not because of you.Remember than on April all are more sceptics to news like this.

Don´t worry,if they don´t belive you the most important is knowing that at least you belive.(Yes, it´s kinnda "goodie-movie" message, but it´s true)
And if you´re really a friend of a Disney animator, it´s great, who else can said that?

If you can´t say something nice don´t say nothing at all"

What???

This is my last post on here. This thread is stupid. The only time I ever want to even THINK about this topic again is when it is nominated for either the most Scandalous or Dumbest thread of the decade.

There is absolutely no need to get offensive or offended! Please take this whole thread with a grain of salt!

Heh. I must admit I'm kinda interested in seeing what state this thread is in by the time this film is supposedly being released.

**Fast-forwards to 2036**

**Old Escapay goes to UD, into the Off-Topic Lounge, and clicks on the last page of the thread, which is page 133. The latest post is by Old Luke**

Old Luke: Well, we just received news that for the 50th anniversary of "The Great Mouse Detective", Disney-Pixar is going to shoot a sequel in the new live-action-CGI-2D-Smellovision-Hypno format. Click here to learn more.

**Old Escapay clicks. It takes him to a thread in General Discussion**

Old Luke: (Information about the sequel)

**The very first reply is from Old Teedee**

Old Teedee: I TOLD YOU! I TOLD YOU ALL!!

Dudes. I'm talking about that a GMD sequel movie is gonna be released in September 2005 in theatres to find the information about the GMD sequel plot to ask DisneyToon Studios about what's Great Mouse Detective sequel about. If you know what I mean and that is not funny, it's serious.

I actually wrote to Disney about GMD. I asked them the following question:

Do you know if there's a Great Mouse Detective II in production?

This is the reply I got.
Thank you for your e-mail regarding THE GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE. We appreciate your interest.

We do not have any information regarding a sequel to THE GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE at this time. We will let our Marketing Department know you would like to have a sequel released on video and DVD.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact us.
