English - Topics in Pre-1800 Literature ~ The topic for the course is “Comic Heroines.” It’s my last English class.
Intermediate Spanish II ~ My final Spanish class (I’m required to complete 4 courses in a foreign language to be a teacher). I’m not *really* worried, except that the teacher might be hardcore and my speaking skills aren’t that good (though I can read/write decently).
Assessment III: Classroom Assessment ~ My *final* online class!!! Midway through my degree, they added all these new requirements--one change being the addition of 3 internships, the other being around 8 “1-hour” (I put quotation marks because the work they required was way more than that) online courses on a bunch of random subjects like teaching students with disabilities, English as second language, etc.
English Methods - Teaching Practices/Curriculum ~ My final education class before Student Teaching. It requires a 50-hour internship in a high school as well.

Overall, this is my final semester before Student Teaching--then graduation!

First year at a four year school after 3 years at a community college. I'm taking all online classes.

I'll be taking Survey of Biblical Literature and Introduction to Christian Thought from August-October, then Old Testament Survey and a Philosophy class(I forget what the name is) from October-December.

Congrats on grad school, Amy! Going to grad school to get my teaching license was one of the best choices I ever made. (I just got a position teaching 4th grade!!!) How does your masters program work? Are you working toward your social work certification and THEN your masters or the other way around? I'm still 3 credits away from my masters, but I was still able to get my teaching license. I know all programs work a little differently.

Thanks, Renata! And congrats on your teaching job!!!

Um, I honestly don't know how it works...I assumed it all happens at the end, but I haven't looked into it...maybe I should! I mean, I'll be working towards the Master's, and I just figured that they'd tell us about getting our license at the end...?

I'm finishing my general ed at a community college, so I'm only taking 3 classes.

Introduction and Appreciation to American Music. This one's an online fast-track class.

English 103 Critical Thinking. Doesn't seem as bad as I thought. Required book reading is The Road by Cormac McCarthy. :)

Chemistry 101. I finally got into this accursed class. The professor seemed very laid back. Best kind of professor, if you ask me. 8)

I haven't started college yet (starting in two weeks) but I'm going to study Managment, Economics and Law.
