I just watched A Bug's Life!! I haven't seen it in awhile and it was great to finally sit down and watch this enjoyable Pixar film

They have alot of great characters such as Heimlich, Francis, Tuck and Roll, Hopper, and one of my favorites Molt

I don't understand how some people could think this is Pixars weeakest

I give it a thumbs up

Just finshed watching A Wrinkle in Time gosh that movie is werid. I am not really sure how to describe it. Its not at all what I expected to see but w/e I am glad I rented it and not bought it.

Hey Aaron, now that you've mentioned it, I've always wondered how well "Mary Poppins" plays with contemporary audiences. Yes, we all love it and we all know it is a beloved classic, but are there many young children today who are willing to sit down for more than two hours to watch the movie?

Well, I've already made the test twice: once with my little cousin who is 5, and once with a friend's niece who is about the same age.

My cousin really enjoyed all the scenes up until the tea at Uncle Albert's sequence (she really loved the horse race). After that, I noticed she started getting a little bored but regained interest in the rooftops sequence. By the end of the movie, I could see she wanted it to end, but in the end, she mostly enjoyed.

As for my friend's niece, she was really enchanted by the movie! Yeah, I could notice a few ionnings in the last moments, but after it was over, she started looking at the cover and saying "this movie was sooo beautiful", hehe. The next day she came to my house again and I asked her if she wanted to watch another movie. Guess which one she chose? "Mary Poppins"!

So, what are you guys' experience with "Mary Poppins" and young children (if you have had any)?

Interesting. My friend had a problem with the Uncle Albert scene too at first, but ended up finding it funny. Granted, he was 20 years old and not a kid. I see kids today being able to enjoy it- and shouldn't they just as much as we did as small children?

But that's just the thing- most of us grew up loving the film since we were very young. Do people like it as much when they first see it much older?

Anyone else care to share their experience with this?

I watched The Lion King yesterday. I cried like a baby! It's the only movie that gets me crying... Amazing!

I just wactched Tarzan Wow it's such a great movie Now that I have a lot of disney dvd I feel like I dont watch them individually like I should

I am always ending up watching the same one lilo and stitch mulan monsters inc tarzan pocahontas lion king lady and the tramp

i watched Nightmare Before Christmas for the first time today and was very impressed.
Yesterday i watched Hunchback of Notredame in celebration as i finally found my copy of it and its my favorite Disney movie.
I should be revising for my A Levels, but when disney rears its wonderful head what can i do but watch it?

I hadn't watched this in a while. I'm not too crazy about the Bongo sequence, it's cute but it just seems to move too slow for me. But I love love the Mickey and the Beanstalk segment.

The Jungle Book after many many years. It is definetly not one of the strongest Disneys, the story and pacing are a little awkward.

It was still great, I had forgotten most of it.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

Haven't seen this in ages! And I was wowed. I haven't watched it in ages because I'd forgotten how fantastic it is. It is truly one of Walt's Crowning glories! And I deeply recommened everyone who doesn't own the 2 disc DVD to get it! It is truly one of the finest 2 disc special editions ever made![/b]
