Now I'm new to this discussion, but wasn't "Tarzan and Jane" the equivalent of "Tarzan II"? So shouldn't this be "Tarzan III"?

The official site is now up at http://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/anima ... /main.html

The site features information, movie clips, games, downloads, a gallery and other sections. IMO they have picked the totally wrong clips, showing some minnor moments in the film! Oh well...

Is it me or the animation fails to give the SPEED impression that the first one achieved to do in the major scenes? The "rock surf" and "first ride" clips are not satisfying enough on this "speed" effect.
The animation looks okay, but far far far away from the wonders of the first movie, the effort to use DeepCanvas is a good point.

Definitely a movie i won't buy... maybe rent it or downl...d it..

I know what you're saying KinOO, and I agree... But, like I said in my previous post they took out the wrong scenes to use to promote this film... You'll have to see the final scene to see the Deep Canvas effect in good action :) It gave me the chills (as it was just like in the original movie).

I won't watch this because I fear this will change my perspective on the events that follow in the first movie! I always liked the fact that Tarzan learned it all by himself, yet here he suddenly has someone to guide him on how to be a monkey. I'm staying away from midquels about the movies I care for with a passion (a lesson I learned from The Lion King III).

i got a free copy of it and i only watch it once...zugor is stupid. the three gorillas too.

Zugor isn't stupid! He's a very loveable character in the movie. The 3 gorillas are stupid, yes, but those are characters that were put in to entertain the kids (Why didn't you figure that one out? It's so obvious!) so of course they're acting childish and whatever...

we'll zugor was just too humane like. anyway i d like to commend them on the tree idea. the whole place looks magnificent.the songs? dont get me started on the songs.

Yes I liked that part too... Wish they would have used it more in the movie though! There isn't much to comment on for the music, I think... The only song I liked from the start (from the only 2 new ones) is the "Who am I?" song. The other new song grew on me after a while.

Btw... Zugor too human? I know he has been characterized a little more (like Terk's 2 gorilla friends in the original Tarzan), but I don't think he's really too human.

the voice for tarzan was..in disney term 'seamless' to alex d linz's. kala rocks! ok. i wont bash it too much. it does have its merits. only if disneytoon would be brave enough to make stories for the children in everyone instead of everyone's children
