A wise man once said:
Guys, it's perfect okay to disagree and I don't intend to step in every time disagreements or arguments turn up. I don't underestimate anyone's maturity and surely, all are able to handle differences in opinions maturely.

That said, can we please stick to what people say and pass judgments on the opinions posted, not on the individuals posting?

Thanks!
Actually, I think it was ALF.

In any event, a number of people have said that what they've found most enjoyable about these forums is that people don't rag on one another. I too think that makes this place special.

So, please, let's not get personal with these posts, and name-calling isn't really cool ever.

Even though I don't see this thread going in any positive direction, I'll leave it open in case people would like to make amends or let it die on its own. As I've said in the past, I'm not a fan of forums where users are banned and suspended and threads locked for juvenile reasons. Same reason why there aren't mods, and I'll rarely even make a post like this.

Cause all of you are mature enough to discuss things maturely - so be mature and not immature. :)

Seriously, let's try and keep a nice atmosphere here. I've got no problem with off-topic posts, and for the time being, padding isn't an issue since our community is small. But I don't like it when it becomes uncomfortable for people to post here.

Thanks.

Yeah! We finally set a new record! Wednsday there were 16 people on! Unfortunately I missed it  , but oh well... so, yeah, cool...
Yeah, and it only took us a few months to beat our previous record.

Speaking of records, we set our site's daily visitors record this past Monday. 1398 total visitors. Yay.

Well, I deleted one of my poll posts, as even I can admit it was unneccessary, but I the other one (favorite male character from the 1920's) is still open. Well, I couldn't actually have deleted it, because people had already responded to it, but I wouldn't have wanted it to any way... There will probably be more... but none for a while so, that should make some people happy :)

Nearly 1400 unique visitors in one day?
That's fantastic...wish there were a way you could find out how they got here. Maybe post a link on the top portion of the frontpage asking for visitor feedback??

I don't think they were unique :) It's like the topics; if you visit it 3 different times, then the counter or whatever will say it had 3 visitors, I'm guessing the site works the same way... If you visited 4 times that day, then you are accountable for thos 4 visits. :)

I do see the last 10 referring web sites, and a semi-accurate total referrals. Many come from search engines, some from other forums. Then there's referrals from other news sites like Animated-Movies, LionKing.org, DVDTimes..

Most popular search engine is Google, not much of a surprise. The fact that we've been climbing up in rankings has helped and now that you can search for "Disney DVD" and have this site returned #6 has certainly gotta be bringing in some traffic.

Believe it or not, a lot of referrals come through the old Angelfire location, which is still easier to find on a lot of search engines.

And just to clarify, it was ~1400 total visitors; 1100 of which were unique. That looks like a record too. I'd be happy if we were consistently over 1000 a day, and consistency has been getting better in recent weeks.

He's either #3 on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted List or the #3 poster here in terms of number of posts.

Cause 2099net has more posts than you now! :P

Seriously, though, I'd hope this forum has more to offer than a place to pad so your total post ranking increases. :D

DVDTimes? I haven't heard of them. I'll do a search on Google. :)

Wow, I didn't know lots of folks came here via Animated-Movies or LionKing.org.
