Shaun of the Dead
Get milk. Ring mum. Avoid zombies!
For a romantic comedy (with zombies) it get to be quite a slaughterhouse by the end.

Just watched Badlands, from 1973, I believe. By Terrence Malick (Days of Heaven, The Thin Red Line). In a lot of ways, reminded me of Days of Heaven ... they're both gorgeous films. Visually remarkable, sort of emotionally detached. Badlands stars Sissy Spacek and Martin Sheen ... as fugitives. In 1959, in South Dakota and Montana. I thought it was a great film. I'm glad I saw it ...

Yesterday I saw two truly fantastic movies that I can't stop thinking about!
The Door in the Floor (Jeff Bridges, Kim Basinger)
Garden State (Written By, Directed By, and Starring Zach Braff; Natalie Portman is great)
A Rare treat that I saw two such great movies on the same day. Very Different movies. I highly recommend them both, but I think Garden State will please the most people. I can't wait for the DVDs of both, but I doubt they'll be coming by the end of the year.

Just watched the DVD of
Star Wars - Episode IV : A New Hope (aka Star Wars).
Yes, I got it early (as a review disc).
Sadly, Fox is making me send it back.
No worries, I now take back almost all my negative comments, except for the ones expressed here:

LOTR: Return of the King
It's good, but kinda overrated, too. How the hell did it get in the top 10 of IMDb's Top 250 movies? I can understand
Star Wars getting in, as it is a cult classic that's been around for years now, but
LOTR? Please...
Despite that, it's a good movie. An improvement on the other two, in my opinion.
I'm going to watch Amelie when I can, but I 'aint had the time
