I don't mind it... It's definitely not one of their better logos though, but it may be updated further down the line.

Congrats to WDAS, as they've finally got they're 2 original features to start the 2020s! How they play out is anyone's guess in the post corona virus world. I look forward to seeing/hearing more info on these films over the next year, hopefully through announcements, not leaks, which is unlikely

It’s a little boring for a logo, but at least it’s something. Excited to see more from this movie in the future.

Please note, the logo has been removed since the end of last June and is not final.
Also, this is not an official announcement by Disney.

Is the title final? Is the film really going to be called Encanto?

You're welcome DisneyFan09. :)

Sotiris, you know I can't tell myself .
But read carefully what I wrote : I said that the logo is not final... ;)
And until Disney makes an official announcement, who knows...

A logo doesn't define the movie, but it is always great when it is nice to look at. Like this:

Yeah, I assumed the logo could change/be updated since this film is still far away, and they have changed them before--TP&TF was a notorious example of the logo becoming worse. :/ As for the title itself, I'd love for that to change. And, actually, the other revival films changed titles. The Frog Princess became The Princess and the Frog, Rapunzel and Rapunzel: Unbraided ended up as Tangled, The Snow Queen was downgraded to Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph was originally Reboot Ralph or something, I forget?

They did change Basil of Baker Street into The Great Mouse Detective, but I haven't heard about any logos that were made regarding the former.

Me too but based on Prince Kido's hints the name is here to stay, unfortunately.

There are more movies which changed title. Check this thread.

Oh, I agree! The first logo was brilliant, the final logo was inferior and awkaward.
Sotiris wrote:I don't like the title either. It's too similar to Enchanted. I was hoping they'd change the name, but with the trademark application already filed, that's highly doubtful now.
Agreed. My problem isn´t really that it´s too close to Enchanted. It´s just that Encanto is too vague and sparse. It´s nice that it´s a Spanish due to the sake of authenticity, but Encanto is too short and generic.

I actually love Encanto as a title and I really hope it remains unchanged and that Disney doesn't tinker with it in my country (which is really unneeded since it's also a word in Portuguese). It sounds mysterious and have a fairy-tale quality to it.

It's not like Tangled, Frozen, Moana and Wreck-It Ralph are any better titles (Tangled straight up doesn't make any sense, girl brushes her hair most of her day, there's nothing tangled there).

I guess I might be a bit biased given that the title's in Spanish, but I quite like it too. I agree that it sounds mysterious and like that it seems to have a double meaning. The logo could be better, but I don't dislike it either. I hope it doesn't change for the worst. By the way, I've just realized that if this movie gets released after Raya, it'll be the 60th Disney animated classic.

I like Encanto as well. It's nice to have a Spanish title when the film takes place in Latin America. The style of the logo might change.

Plus, with the pandemic, there’s even less news than usual, which is why the forum is more quiet because there’s less to talk about. You can’t really post updates about things that have all been delayed. :(

It just occurred to me that if the female lead in Encanto is included in the Disney Princess line-up, and let's face it, Disney won't pass up the opportunity to turn her into their first Latina princess regardless if she's royalty or not, we will have an equal number of white princesses and princesses of color.

White princesses:
Snow White
Cinderella
Aurora
Ariel
Belle
Rapunzel
Merida

Princesses of color:
Jasmine
Pocahontas
Mulan
Tiana
Moana
Raya
Mirabel
