I actually like the new title! :) Sounds fresher than just Wreck-It Ralph 2 on its own.

I like the title too. It suits the film's tone I think and really catches my attention. The subtitle thrown on at the end is a bit much but it works better in logo form.

I'm not a huge fan of the title either. I know "breaking the Internet" is a phrase that is actually used, but if they were going in that direction, I think Ralph Wrecks The Internet would have been a better title. And then maybe they wouldn't have needed the subtitle either? Whatever though. I got over Tangled, so I'm sure I'll get over this.

I hadn't got that reference. It's a nice logo. I don't dislike the title either. I usually prefer something different to the original title followed by the number of the sequel. But it's true that having "Wreck-It Ralph 2" as a subtitle is a bit strange.

Yeah, I have no idea how they could've used 'Break' instead of 'Wreck'.... What a miss.

But this title is nowhere near as bad as Tangled or, worse, Gigantic.

Oh that's disappointing. I was looking forward to it in March. It's a bit close to Mulan for my taste. I wonder which one will beat the other in a box office match.

On the Box office theory fourms, most are predicting it to be crushed by Grinch, Mulan, Fantastic Beasts 2 & Sony Animation's Miles Morales Spider-Man :D

So this is the second time Wreck-it Ralph was denied a springtime start date.

It does give Rich Moore extra time to get the film in tip-top shape. He just jumped from directing Zootopia to Wreck-It Ralph 2, so I'm sure he appreciates not having to rush through the production.

More time doesn't necessarily mean a better film. There are movies who spend decades in development and still turn out awful and vice versa. I'm not talking about WIR specifically but in general. Every time there's a delay on a movie, there's an urge to put a positive spin on it that somehow working on it more will result into an improved product. There are plenty of examples that prove that's not always the case.

^Why I am okay waiting for a few more months. For Pete's sakes, it began production again last year (or mid 2015)! Disney was pushing it. And with Rich Moore doing Zootopia, there was no way they have the story 100% done.

It's only a number of months and Disney probably moved it, due to Gigantic being delayed and they wanted something in their annual Thanksgiving spot.

With Rich Moore directing Zootopia and Wreck-It Ralph 2 back-to-back, he's going to be really tired by the end of the latter production. I hope he takes a well deserved rest and vacation before jumping onto his next animated feature. :)

And yes, I am an optimist. Thank you for noticing. :)

Surprises? Is this a joke? You just demoted your latest original IP to the 2020s, you have nothing coming out for 2017, and all you have for the rest of the decade are sequels to WiR & Frozen. I would so love to just throw a big rotten Tomato at his face right when he walks through those curtains. Congratulations John, you just turned WDAS into Illumination Entertainment

The biggest surprise is if they talk about Gigantic.   Yeah, there's literally no surprises here.

The only surprise I can see is an official announcement for Zootopia 2. Which will be the 2021 feature

I'm actually surprised they haven't greenlighted that yet. Maybe they're waiting for Wreck-It Ralph 2 to be complete.

Lasseter explains how Ralph and Vanellope discover the Internet.
He also confirmed a little more about the future of one of Disney’s biggest recent hits – and what’s in store for Wreck-it Ralph 2. The first image and story details we saw back in June of last year promised a far wider scope for Ralph and his friends. Lasseter confirmed,

"This time Ralph and Vanellope go into the internet. A WiFi router gets plugged in, in the arcade…and it is hilarious how the filmmakers have skewered everything on the internet."

We’re assuming that once they are loose on the web mobile devices will be fair game too, bringing the retro stylings of Ralph right up to date.
