It might not be Blu-ray, but I thought I'd share.

(Google Translate) In France will come out of the new DVD releases of some classics with special cover. Each cover will be the villain of that particular movie! Do you like them?

I like them but I wouldn't buy them. They are great for Disney Villain fans. Can't deny that. France always get some beautiful covers.
I have Aladdin on bluray already but if the US edition is good I'll be picking that up.
Eventually I'll pick up the package films but I waited 8 odd years to get the Make Mine Music DVD on region 2. I'm glad they are getting a blu release.
I've heard the US edition of Tarzan is supposed to be better than the UK offering so I've held off on that so far.
Hoping for no region coding.

That's a great idea! Too bad they don't show Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. I would have liked to see what artwork of the Queen and Maleficent they used.

How awesome! This would be an instant buy for me... if they had them in Germany.
Edit: Wonder if those UK DVDs have something in common:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Cauldron- ... 00J966G18/
Did anyone see them or knows something about them?

(It's coming soon!) Info Alert! The Sleeping Beauty will be available on Blu-ray and DVD June 5, 2014 in France. Not surprisingly, most European countries the outgoing at the same time. Lion King out of the moratorium on the same day, and not May 24
Thanks bad Google Translate!

After having a long read, France is abandoning the Vault on June 5th (which we all knew) with the re-release of SWatsd, BatB, SB, and TLK.
Is it likely the UK will also see TLK re-release this year as moratorium comes to an end. I didn't pick that one up and now I want it. But I'll get a used diamond edition for the label.
Does anyone think that North America will eventually give up moratorium (after the end of Diamond Editions)?

I've noticed that most on the internet have taken it for granted that the info on the Disney Wiki regarding upcoming Blu-ray releases of the package features is true and correct. While I'm praying it's true, myself, I get the feeling that many are setting themselves up for disappointment.
I want those films so badly.

On another note...who else agrees Ducktales the Movie is being left out of this new line up?

I hope I am not replicating anything that has already been said, but I think I discovered something new and important. I realize that several places online have suggested in impending release of Hercules and Tarzan, but as far as I can tell, this previously hasn't been confirmed by Disney.
I am in the Disney Movie Club and upon declining the featured title, I noticed this in my confirmation email:
TARZAN and HERCULES 2-PACK
Tarzan
Wild with exotic adventure and laughs, Disney's Tarzan® is a magnificent adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' classic story. Raised by a family of gorillas, including the loving Kala and the wisecracking Terk, Tarzan develops all the instincts and prowess of a jungle animal. But with the sudden appearance of Tarzan's own kind, including the beautiful Jane, two very different worlds are about to become one.
Hercules
Taken from the gods as a newborn and adopted on earth, Hercules becomes an awkward teenage pillar of strength. While trying to fit in, he discovers his dad is Zeus and home is Mount Olympus- so he teams with babyhood pal Pegasus, the flying stallion, and Phil- a feisty personal trainer- in his mission to become a true hero. This Disney classic delivers Olympic-size fun for the entire family.
They didn't provide a date, but this at least confirms they will be released soon. Please pardon the potential redundancy of this post.

Tarzan and Hercules together? That seemed unexpected.

I don't think it was suggesting they would be packaged together. I think they were saying both Tarzan and also Hercules are soon to be released. I initially assumed it was just Hercules that would have a 2-pack, meaning it would include the Hercules cheapquel. Maybe they would each contain 2 movies, I don't know.

So sad they missed the chance of including:
-Snow White: Evil Queen
-Fantasia: Chernabog
-Sleeping Beauty: Maleficent
-The Sword in the Stone: Madam Mim
-The Black Cauldron: The Horned King
-The Great Mouse Detective: Prof. Ratigan
-Oliver and Company: Sykes
-The Rescuers Down Under: McLeach ; Especially since they already have the first one made.
-Beauty and the Beast: Gaston
-Hunchback: Frollo
-Tarzan: Clayton
-Fantasia 2000: Firebird
-Dinosaur: Kron
-Atlantis: Rourke
-Treasure Plantet: Scroop
-Home on the Range: Alameda Slim
-Meet the Robinsons: Bowler Hat Guy
-Wreck it Ralph: King Candy
I mean, if they already took that idea and already did the DVDs for movies I wasn´t expecting (Robin Hood, Treasure Planet and Hercules) why not go all the way?
Heck! Altough I don´t consider him a villain (but Disney does) I´d even make a Dumbo: Ringmaster if that meant having that DVD.

So I called the Disney Movie Club to straighten this out. The lady confirmed both Tarzan and Hercules are being released this summer but she was unable to confirm a date. Apparently, the club is going to sell the films together as a deal, but in separate packaging. It is possible, but not confirmed they may make this an upcoming "double feature" featured title.

OMG! Thank god I didn't buy it last week!!
So happy!!
You know, i've heard that Incredibles 3D is coming out on Blu-Ray and theaters in the fall.
What if they're holding back Frozen 3D and releasing Ratatouille 3D to include a ticket to the incredibles in 3D?
If parents get the one free ticket, they will most likely take their family.
Maybe that's why.

Nothing yet on the US site.

I think that bodes well for the US release either coinciding with the Canadian release or being released around the same time. Coupled with the Disney Movie Club advertising them as "Coming Soon To The Club" (which usually indicates that they are the next featured title), that August 12 date seems reasonable. And considering that the DMC has been releasing titles a month or more earlier than the standard street date every summer for the last three or four years, we might be able to get them from DMC
very soon.

Finally a release date
Amazon.ca also lists a
new DVD-only edition for Hercules which (hopefully) means they are producing a newly updated DVD and that the DVD included in the Blu-ray set will have the digitally-sourced transfer.
