Not really a fan of either but I think I prefer Rex of the two.

"This is a hobo suit dahling, you can't be seen in this, I won't allow it!" or "What is it, who are you, what do you want? ...My God you've gotten fat!"

Both are hilarious lines, but gotta go with hobo suit.

The Band Concert or Symphony Hour?

Urgh. Another tough one.

Symphony Hour for the gorgeous animation (Les Clark on Mickey Mouse, I believe ... correct me if I'm wrong).

Which look do you prefer? That of traditional inked and painted cels, or digital ink and paint?

Traditional ink and paint all the way!

Lion King 2: Simba's Pride or Lion King 1½

by Jules
I think I prefer 1½. It's been a good seven years since I saw it, but I remember the animation looking really slick too. Those Australian animators were talented. What a shame they were let go.

Animation on ones or animation on twos?

(i.e. animation drawn at 24 fps or 12 fps?)

Animation on 1 - 24 fps, of course!

Milo. (Yeah. I know. I'm all alone.)

OK now here's one that's tricky.

"Pour the wine and cut the cheese" or "Feast your eyes"?

HHmm...I'll have to go with "Feast you eyes."

"I saved your life!" or "You ruined my death!"

"I saved your life!"

Tim Burton or Henry Selick?

I think ... Henry Selick. Still need to see James and the Giant Peach and Coraline, though.

The Walt Disney font as it appears in:

a) The Walt Disney Pictures (now just "Disney") logo?

or

b) The Walt Disney Animation Studios logo?

There's a subtle difference ...

Walt Disney Pictures

Art Babbit or Emery Hawkins?

Posted: Tue Jun 19, 2012 2:37 pm
by Jules
I can't remember who Emery Hawkins is, though I know I've encountered the name countless times in animation books. So I'll take Art Babbitt.

Hmm. Let's keep pitting more artists against each other.

Maurice Noble or Eyvind Earle?
