They all look great! Nice work, Colleen! But is that really Lucy with the hair bow? And Emily's bump makes me smile! Thanks for posting, dear!

Pretty sure she's wearing padding in these, since this is the "Act 1" finale when the Bakers Wife comes out pregnant after having broke the curse. This was a big visual gag spot in the stage musical. The scene giveaway is the blind stepsisters and Cinderella's wedding dress.

I've never seen the musical but people believe they're filming the final scenes of the first act... Cinderella marries her prince, her stepsisters are now blind and the baker's wife in now pregnant. I'm not sure if that's Emily's real bump. I don't think she's that pregnant yet.

Don't worry Atlantica, someone who worked on Sweeney Tood and concealed Helena Bonham Carter's preganant belly in that film is also working on this film. Plus, they probably CGI-ed it out, and can do the same in this film.

Anyway, the costumes are fantabulous! But I also find some things amiss. Cinderella's costume is gorgeous, but it reminds me too much of Glinda's bubble dress from Wicked, and it has two shorter layers. I think it should be a more extravagant gown with all long layers. The stepmother's dress is a masterwork, and the stepsisters' would be too if they didn't show their legs and have that black streak in it or bow made of hair stolen from Lady Gaga! Seriously, the actresses legs showing really takes me out of the long ago time this is set in. The prince's costumes are fantastic, though, showing the individual traits of each of them. And I love the sexy leather for Rapunzel's Prince. ;) But why is Cinderella's Prince unshaven? He's a prince, and the more looks-caring one at that! The Baker has a very nice costume and so does the Baker's Wife, but Jack's Mother has the most boring costume ever. Jack's would be boring were it not for the jacket and hat. And I hate this thing with lines many costumes seem to have.

I'm dismayed that they have mixed the costumes from different eras like some are from the 16th century and some are from the 18th century, and it's all mis-matched with the historical 12th century castle. They need to all look like they're from the same time. Ah, I wish. :/

Lucy also made think of Lady Gaga, but I don't mind it. The stepsisters aren't the only ones showing their legs.

And you need to see the other costume Tracey wears! Click here! Not boring at all.

And yes, Billy looks hot from head to toe!

SOPHIA GRACE OUT, ANNIE STAR LILLIA CRAWFORD IN!
Former Annie star Lilla Crawford has replaced Sophia Grace Browlee as Little Red Riding Hood in Rob Marshall’s film adaptation of Into the Woods, according to Disney Studios.

Crawford made a big splash last season as the title star in the Broadway.com Audience Choice Award-winning revival of Annie, for which she filmed the popular video blog Simply Red. She previously appeared in the closing cast of Broadway’s Tony-winning musical Billy Elliot and the concert version of Ragtime.

Crawford joins a star-studded cast which includes Broadway veterans Meryl Streep as the Witch, James Corden as the Baker, Anna Kendrick as Cinderella, Billy Magnussen as Rapunzel’s Prince, Christine Baranski as Cinderella's Stepmother, Mackenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel and Tammy Blanchard as Florinda, Cinderella’s stepsister. The cast also includes Emily Blunt as the Baker’s Wife, Johnny Depp as the Wolf, Chris Pine as Cinderella’s Prince, Tracey Ullman as Jack’s Mother and Daniel Huttlestone as Jack.

Disney also announced that Tony winner Frances de la Tour (The History Boys) will voice the Giant and Olivier Award winner Simon Russell Beale (Bluebird) will play the Baker’s Father. The cast will also feature Olivier Award winner Joanna Riding (My Fair Lady, Carousel) as Cinderella's Mother, Richard Glover (Sightseers) as the Prince’s Steward, Annette Crosbie (Calendar Girls) as Red Riding Hood’s Grandmother and Lucy Punch (The Graduate, Bad Teacher) as Lucinda, Cinderella’s other stepsister.

Featuring a screenplay by the show's scribe James Lapine and music (including an original new song) by Stephen Sondheim, Into the Woods is currently filming on location throughout England and will hit cinemas on December 25, 2014.

It's kind of funny... Lucy Punch already played another version of Cinderella's stepsister in Ella Enchanted, which coincidentally also featured a character named Lucinda.

Ah ok, that makes sense then ! Was wondering how she looked so pregnant so quickly, considering it was her first baby. I know Coleen disguised Helena Duster, but at least she has a corset on so it was a bit easier. But if that is the scene where she should be pregnant anyway, then that's fine :) (Not that there is anything wrong with her being pregnant! Just for the film I mean).

I know the stepsisters aren't the only ones showing their legs. I was saying none of the actresses should have dresses cut to show their legs, it's too modern.

And while I like most of Jack's Mother's "rich" costume, that plaid orange and red overcoat is just awful! Possibly intentionally, but still! lol

We now have video! Some onsite footage of the filming where the Giant's Wife lands down during the procession. Even though "Ever After" will be cut, I love that it's still being used as the fanfare music. And Chris Pine as Cinderella's Prince already seems so delightfully hammy :p So excited for this!

Chris is speaking with a british accent, right? It's a bit difficult to say... But thanks for posting!

That clip is GREAT! The music from "Ever After" is wonderfully used and Chris Pine is doing a more terrific job acting as the prince than I expected! He doesn't sound like he has a British accent to me but just a princely voice that will fit in well with the British accents of many actors in this.

Anyway, guess what I found? From Entertainment Weekly, Meryl Streep as THE WITCH!!!!!

She looks FANTASTIC!

Personally now, I kind of wish they got Donna Murphy or Bernadette Peters to reprise the role of the witch. Heck, I do wish Amy Adams were the baker's wife.

Boom ! She looks fabulous !

What would be the best way to watch / see this for the first time ? Download the soundtrack ? Any particular cast version ? Wait for the movie ? (Bearing in mind I havent seen / heard anything from the show before).

Any tops would be appreciated !

Watch this version:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099851/

There are torrents for it out there and it has almost the entire original Broadway cast.

Everyone needs to experience Bernadette Peters and Joanna Gleason in their roles before seeing the movie.

I don't think they made Meryl's face ugly enough either. It should be more different from what she looks like as a beautiful, younger woman after she transforms. I also don't think I like what look like feathers on her dress or the twigs in her hair, but we'll see.

But also, I heard that Amy Adams was awful when she played the Baker's Wife in the recent Central Park version.

I have a hard time imagining Amy in that role. Her voice just isn't right for it.

At the same time I'm worried Emily is a little bland for it, but she is a good actress and her voice suits the part better so I'm having an open mind with her.
