Editor's Note 9/10: Wondering why the annual Haunted Mansion rehab is running a few days longer than normal this September? George Kalogridis has a few tricks and treats waiting for Disneyland fans this fall, as he aimed a chunk of the seasonal budget at plussing up the Haunted Mansion Holiday beyond just the traditional gingerbread house and overall TLC. New technology is being utilized to the fullest, and Madame Leota in particular is in a very decorative mood this year. - Al Lutz

Aww, I love that little show. Like some on that forum said when I first saw it I was expecting a art demonstration, but I still was magically captured by the alternative. I'm proud to have been able to seen it twice.

Um, the dance thing sounds kind of stupid. Will it be dancing to Disney songs, or will it be like the American Idol Experience, only dancing?

I think that the disapproval of Duffy may be due to him essentially being little more than a marketing ploy for Disney's plans to take on Build-a-Bear. I hate to sound cynical, but these sort of characters don't normally last very long.

It's just that ... he's a teddy bear! He's not really a character, he doesn't look particularly interesting (to me, at least), and the idea of a big one walking around the parks just sort of creeps me out.

I mean, I know the Japanese like their cute, cuddly animals, but really?

And the fact that they're only bringing him into DCA shows that they know it ain't right...

He's coming to WDW too...

What rubs me the wrong way about it is that he was once known as Disney Bear...and now he has another name. But I like the idea of him being a character...
