Recently received
Chasing Amy, Clerks: The Animated Series Uncensored and a Region 0 bootleg copy of
The Last Unicorn (kinda crappy, though - I think I'll send it back to the seller...)
Yesterday I got the Criterion Collection edition of
Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas for $10 at Suncoast - with a bunch of Replay Rewards certificates, of course.
I also rented
American Splendor and
Lion King 1½ this week. I really like AS - I might buy it sometime. But a big hairy
NO to the other one. *gak*

Yes, but judging from your choice of avatar for the last little bit, you'd already made up your mind to dislike
Lion King 1½.

Can't say I've seen it, so i can't comment on quality.
Got the
Foo Fighters - Evrywhere But Home live DVD last night....great stuff

Got the Hulk: Limited Edition 3-Disc set yesterday (on a whim - the packaging is so cool

).
Also picked up the Flaming Lips album
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. Not strictly a new DVD you might says...
...but it is the CD + DVD version. It comes with the original CD album, and a DVD (obviously). The groovy thing is that the DVD not only contains all the music videos from the album (which are very cool), plus 'making-ofs', trailers and other clips; but it also contains the entire album remixed in Dolby 5.1 surround as a DVD-Audio track. Even if you have heard this brilliant record on CD, it is a whole new experience on DVD-A. Just mindblowing (this is, after all, a band that released a previous record -
Zaireeka - on 4 CDs designed to be played simultenously on 4 different CD players to accomplish the surround effect. The DVD is a definite advantage

).
Worth checking out for music fans everywhere...

That's a damn good deal there, Miss Michelle. X2 goes in a lot of places for $30-40 by itself!
Did you get Freaky Friday from the US? I didn't think it was available here yet. Or am I mistaken? I'll get it here if it is...

ok ... so they were ex-rentals, but they were as good as new and I just couldn't pass it up ... I don't think Freaky Friday or the Lizzie McGuire Movie is out here yet ... there's some kind of rental window if I'm not mistaken

I picked up the UK 2 Disc
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen on Saturday as it was cheap (I think somebody priced it the same as the single disc) and it has twice as many deleted scenes as the US version and Trailers. Yay! Trailers. And TV Spots. Lots of TV Spots. Plus numerous other little additions
Also recieved
Jonathan Creek Series 1 and 2, 4 disc boxset and
Red Dwarf 4 (the year before it all began to go to pot). I can't believe the Red Dwarf set contains "Can't Smeg, Won't Smeg". Why would anybody want to watch that abomination again?

My local Blockbuster ... hmm ... I did see another copy while I was there - $24.95 for it by itself (or 3 for $50) ... I'm a bit weirded out about giving out details on a board ... even if it is as obscure as a little Sydney suburb ... ummm ... if you want anymore details PM me ... or email to save bandwidth *smiles sweetly*

It's ok...you don't have to disclose your suburb.
I'm assuming all Blockbuster stores would have them out. My local (or locals - I live in an "Eastern" suburbs area that has at least 2 stores within walking distance). Thanks for your help, M.

I know this post is a few days old, but in case you haven't sent this back, I would do it now. It comes out here next month. Amazon has a release date of 3/16.
