Remember last year when Dreamgirls had 3 noms for Best Original Song and didn't win? The same will probably happen to Enchanted, because the voters won't be able to decide between the Enchanted songs and split the votes and the rest will go to another song, so that one wins.

Oh my god,
gumby17- that looks amazing! I would totally praise Disney if that became the official box art.

Thanks for sharing, though.
And congrats to Mr. Menken & Mr. Schwartz for their nominations!

What I meant by that was, a double disc, as in no artwork on the first disc, but instead, both sides contain data or whatever. My sister said House MD's first season discs were like that, and we were watching Just My Luck, which also had it like that. But as I said, it's not very good with kids- they could touch it, and ruin it forever.
Oh,never heard of that.
They're called dual-sided discs, or flippers.
Aside from a few Miramax titles (
Cinema Paradiso and
A Personal Journey Through American Pictures with Martin Scorsese come to mind), Buena Vista has never used dual-sided DVDs.
Also, IIRC, it was stated that aside from big titles like POTC, the Platinums, and Treasures, Disney rarely does two-disc sets for new releases because....
...and this is a doozy...
...that will make you cringe...
...and possibly throw something...
THEY GOT TOO MANY COMPLAINTS FROM PARENTS WHO DIDN'T KNOW WHICH DISC CONTAINED THE MOVIE, AND THEIR KIDS COMPLAINED WHEN THEY ACCIDENTALLY PUT IN THE BONUS DISC
So while a film like
Enchanted just screams "Two-Disc Special Edition"...a single disc is easier to release as ignoramus parents can't read "Disc 1: Feature Film".
I'm still praying for a Christmas 2008 double-disc double-dip.

From USAToday:
Composer Alan Menken is feeling pretty enchanted today, reports USA TODAY's Will Keck. Three of the five best songs nominated for an Oscar are his, from the movie Enchanted: Happy Working Song, So Close and That's How You Know.
He got the news at his home in the Caribbean, but the Internet was out, so he turned on the TV. But the song categories were not announced. He then started calling people -- his assistant and musical director were both unreachable. And his mother doesn't have Internet service. Finally his publicist called with the triple good news.
He sighs. "Yes, it's been Enchanted. And That's How You Know'things are going well."
He says That's How You Know had been the one they were focusing on, and he believes that has the greatest chance.
In the film, Amy Adams sang two of the songs, but Menken believes she will probably not perform them on stage if the awards happen, if she is asked. "Amy has expressed some ambivalence. She's a wonderful singer and a wonderful performer and at the same time it may be daunting for her. Either she'll perform it or we’ll find someone else. I just hope there are an Academy Awards."

What I like about that fanart is how Giselle is blissfully scrubbing and the rat is like "what's this?" It's very cute, and pretty good.
What I don't understand is if this 1 disc release is just about the bonus disc, why not try to fit more bonuses onto the disc we have, like a commentary? Which does give a little more hope for a double-dip.

I don't think they're making something good for the DVD (the cover for exmaple).

For the one that asked for Aladdin refrences-
Giselle stab Narrisa like Aladdin stabed Jafar.
Pip shows Giselle like Abu showed Jasmine.
In That's How You Know there is a big parade like Prince Ali (sorta).
And Narrisa calls Giselle a "forest rat" like Jafar and the guards calls Aladdin "street rat" (now that i think about it,Giselle is like Aladdin, she lives in a small house like him,she and Pip are like Aladdin and Abu and etc.,also Narrisa is kinda like Jafar).

That's a really good deal if one preorders The Aristocats or 101 Dalmatians with Enchanted.

Rather than coming back to complain about the DVD cover again, I thought I'd post something constructive. I found this poster... wallpaper... well, I'm not sure what it is, but I found it on a YouTube video. I resized it a bit (it was squished, width-wise) and uploaded it for you all to see. I think it looks brilliant. I believe these pictures (or at least Amy Adams') were used for the animated/live-action comparison posters. The pictures used for James and Patrick are also slightly different from the ones from the original poster.
It also has the dragon, rather than a large Narissa head in the background, and rather than overflowing the piece with that rich blue color, they added a nice golden touch. I love it, personally. If they could alter this slightly and use it for the official cover, I'd be so happy.
Still, I can't wait for the release. This is going to be the first release I'm buying since I joined this amazing community. Does anyone know if the press release is... released, if they make any changes? Last minute cover art changes, perhaps? lol Maybe an extra bonus feature or two? lol Here's hoping.

I much that as the cover,at least it's something new.
Edward is actually is in the same but Robert has a different pose (he's standing differently).
Did anyone noticed that the blue logo looks exactly like the Cinderella PE?.

I removed the "a"...
http://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/liveaction/enchanted/
I love how the website includes the trailer and a photo gallery...neither of which will appear on the DVD itself.

That site is basically the same as all the other countries' official Enchanted website, except with more or less content. I just visited them on Sunday. Here's the most English-containing one, the UK version:
here.
Honestly though... the cover doesn't look so bad anymore. I'm still disappointed that it looks the same as the poster, but seeing it standing with a spine, etc... it looks okay. I don't understand why the BluRay box is wider, though.
I also wish all those freaking pictures would be released! They're so beautiful, but Disney just hides them on the side to use on their recycled sites.

Thanks for the link, though.

I don't really mind if the trailer isn't included. I already have it on other Disney DVDs and, well.... I've watched it enough times.

So have I!
But it's really a matter of convenience and simplicity. The trailer is the easiest bonus feature to add to any release, and yet it's the one thing that doesn't show up anymore on Disney DVDs.
I don't mind having it on other DVDs, but I often like watching a film's trailer after watching the film (yeah...), and I don't want to always have to reach for
The Jungle Book or
Meet the Robinsons every time I want to watch the trailer for
Enchanted!
