I have 4 more. 8)
I know a guy at the DVD Aficionado forums that has ALL of them! :o

About 350, last time I looked, including DVD-Rs of early Lloyd Kaufman stuff before he started Troma, and so on!

I only have 25, and ten of those are in the Toxie's Blood Bank collection (in a cool "Blood Bank" tin...)
Some of my faves are:
Toxic Avenger 1-4 (and the cartoon movie)
Sgt. Kabukiman, NYPD
Terror Firmer
Class of Nuke 'Em High (I only have #2, and that is on laserdisc!)

I need to get the rest of Class of Nuke 'Em High, and then Tromeo & Juliet, and Troma's War. Oops, almost forgot the Toxie's Top Ten collection (in a "radioactive" tin!)

I guess everyone has to have an obsession. :D

Well, since I only have 4, other than the ordered Def...

The Stendhal Syndrome (soon to be outdone by the 2-disc Blue Underground special edition)
Frostbiter
Monster in the Closet
and Vegas in Space

I want to get the Class of Nuke 'Em High Complete Spill-ogy someday soon. But $25 is still a wee bit high and I haven't seen the 2 sequels since '99. As for the Top Ten Radioactive Tin... I heard all sorts of names being dropped as to who the distributer was. It took me awhile, but I got used to Troma's cruddy transfers (Monster in the Closet doesn't look too bad at all, actually). And I've heard some terrible things about how Brentwood or Eclipse or BCI or whoever handled the Triple Features / Triple B-Header's / Toxie's Triple Terror sets. But... if the price is right, I'll get it someday. Because I liked Stuff Stephanie in the Incinerator (and my VHS is a bit damaged), I loved Dead Dudes in the House, and one of the other movies in that looks really good - The Newlydeads. Too bad Combat Shock isn't in the Ten box, I always thought that sounded pretty interesting. And Evil Clutch isn't there either. Yeah I know, terrible movie. But there are parts of it that I have a bit of a fondness for. :o

I know it's 10 Troma movies and they're part of a collection and a label a lot of collectors go for. And I'm sure a lot of people think $24 isn't a lot for Troma, but when compared to a lot of those other movies sets... The quality a Mill Creek gives to a collection of 50 movies will be just the same if not better in some cases and that 50 movie pack will go for $20 in many stores or online retailers. So, I'd try to get it used. But for that price, I think I'd be better off buying a Criterion Collection disc. Since Onibaba and Kwaidan are now down to about $23 a piece from certain sellers.

Laz, as far as those two Troma tins go...

Yeah, you can get one of the cheapo 50-packs, but they are just in a box/dvd case...

These two Troma tins are actually pretty neat stand-out pieces to add to a collection, looks wise. The Blood Bank has a bloody eye behind a liquid "blood" pack, and the Top Ten has a radiation symbol behind a liquid "radioactive waste" pack... :D

~25 bucks for 10 movies (in their own slimline cases) isn't too shabby.

=====

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, I picked up The Secret of Nimh (Family Fun Edition) and Fantastic 4 Extended Cut, and I ONLY spent $900 today.... Long Story!

I hate paying money for packaging. I'm not that kind of collector. To me, what's on the discs is more important. I'm more substance than style, I guess... 8)

Beaches - Free

Well, it wasn't exactly <i>free</i>, but it was pretty darn close. I was able to trade my P&S <i>Dickie Roberts</i> DVD to my friend, who recently purchased the Special Edition release of <i>Beaches</i>. <b>Fantastic</b> trade, in my opinion.

I made the strange purchase for $2 of this lovely title:

<img src="http://mpcmbanners.com/dvd/Concrete-Cow ... W-DVD4.jpg" height=140 width=99 align=left>Concrete Cowboy (1979)

Starring a pre-Magnum Tom Selleck, my shopping excursion to buy socks turned into a spree purchase of a Moustached Man of Muscle. As it turns out, the film is actually called "The Concrete CowboyS", with this clearly cheap production failing to get the name of the TV film right. Surely they would know that a potential consumer would be more interested in multiple cowfolk make of concrete than they would be in just one?

IMDB describes this as "Ex cowboy (Tom Selleck) and his side kick (Jerry Reed) travel the highways and byways of America in search of adventure. Along with Morgan Fairchild they find plenty of it." Strangely, the back of the shoddy case uses the same wording. I wonder who influenced who? Still, it could be a bit of harmless fun for the coming winter months.

<img src="http://www.ezydvd.com.au/g/i/p/793402.jpg" height=140 width=99 align=left>Ghost Rider

Against my better judgment, not only did I buy this 'meh' film on DVD (yes, I had already seen it too!), but I bought the EXTENDED version in a TIN. The case also had a SLIPCOVER. A SLIPCOVER IN A TIN! Imagine that? As you can understand, I was off my tits on happiness.

The Extended Edition is actually a 2-Disc set. I mainly bought the thing for the "Sin and Salvation: Comic Book origins of Ghost Rider - a 4 part feature on the Ghost Rider character", which is actually pretty good. I'm told that this is not on the Blu-ray counterpart, so viva la DVD!
