Well, while doesn't rave about it, says pretty much everything we've been hoping for: great and "original" story, rocking stylized animation, awesome Danny Elfman music(but when was the last time it wasn't?), great voice acting
Woohoo!

Thank God.

Damn.

Woohoo again!

Unfortunately he does have it wrong. Even if John did make them edit 60% of the original film. I don't think he influenced that much with what they made in their changes...just what they should fix.
I can't wait to see this. March 30th can't come quick enough.

I am sooooo excited to see MTR!!! Even if the review were negative, I'd still want to see it. I think, though, that everyone should read the William Joyce book first...it doesn't give anything much at all away (the book is short, and most everything in the film is new). The quirkiness of the movie can be explained by reading the book. On a side note, I've seen very many commercials for MTR, and most of them feature Tiny. I always crack up when his part comes on, but, yesterday, on the Disney Channel, they played it, and I didn't laugh. I'm afraid they over-played that part. I just hope I laugh when I see it in context at the theater.

Nice to know that there won't be any fart jokes in MTR. We still have to wait though. The movie does not come out for two weeks.

Going by the previews alone, Meet the Robinsons actually looks pretty promising. 3D suits it. The only thing I didn't like was having to watch that pathetic joke about a caffeine patch over and over and over again. And I don't know what the frogs have to do with anything.

Great - its only 15 days away!!!!!

and as far as the jokes - well the teasers been out for well over a year so it would be understandable if the Caffeen Patch joke is rather stale...

Anybody been to a Disney store lately? Are there any plushs? Maybe the Dinosaur.

The Caffine Patch Joke was never good. It made me dread the movie from the beginning, although the Tiny joke made me consider seeing it.

I suppose I can post this here since this thread is becoming a bit more general and not as review-specific. WDWMagic linked to this pic showing what the Meet the Robinsons theme park characters will look like:
I, for one, am impressed. They captured the characters perfectly without making them look creepy (The Incredibles, anyone?). These seem noticeably slimmer than most masked character costumes, giving them more human dimensions. Bowler Hat Guy looks a little too cheerful, but perhaps he spends most of the movie deviously happy. I feel sorry for the cast member that'll have to walk around bow-legged all day, though.

Originally the Caffine Patch joke was the funiest part for me. Although over-played now it still makes me chuckle. The Tiny thing is great though. I've actually gotten some of my fraternity brothers excited to see this film with me. Yay for not being a lonesome Disney freak when it opens!!!

Bowler Hat Guy looks like the villain from Wacky Races. I think his name was Snideley.

Yeah, AND in heels. Poor guy.

Yeah, Snidely Whiplash, originally from the "Dudley Do-Right" cartoon. It's likely unintentional, as Snidely is a parody of the stereotypical mustache-twirling, tie-the-damsel-to-the-tracks villain of silent movies, which Bowler Hat Guy seems reminiscent of, too.

This doesn't seem as good as Chicken Little, but then again I was like one of the only five people who liked it.I've seen the ads and it looks all right, but no Monsters, Inc. yet. I like the Dinosaur character, and that Caffeine Patch gag seems all right. Not great, but better than some of the fart jokes in Shrek. I'll probably see it eventually, if not in cinemas.

Disneykid, thank you soooo much for posting that picture! A second before I scrolled down to it, my husband reminded me that you now can meet the Robinsons (well, it looks like you can meet a Robinson), and then I scrolled down, and there they are! I'm so excited to see the movie and meet them. As a side note, since someone mentioned the Incredibles, the other day, my husband and I were at MGM, and the Incredibles were not in the regular meet-and-greet part of the animation building, but up a level...Mr. and Mrs. Incredible were dancing together after we met them, and before they were dancing, they sat down with a family who was sitting on the floor. Whenever I meet them, Mrs. Incredible and I always have a conversation about Jack-Jack (he's my favorite). I don't think they're creepy-looking.

Those costumes are kind of creepy. I would not want to wear one of those at Walt Disney World or Disneyland. I also agree about the caffeine patch joke getting old fast.

Strange. The website of "Eden Cinemas", a cinema complex in Malta, says that "Meet the Robinsons" will be released in my country on 28th March. It must be a mistake, no?
http://www.edencinemas.com.mt/
http://www.edencinemas.com.mt/movie/1122/
But KRS Film Distributors (these guys distribute films to the local cinemas here in Malta) list it as awaiting release on the 30th:
http://www.krsmalta.com/
http://www.krsmalta.com/Forthcoming.htm
BTW, I wanted to ask ... I've read that MTR is to be coupled with a classic Disney short, namely "Boat Builders". Will the short be shown with
every issue of the film anywhere in the world? It's just that I keep getting doubts as to whether the short will be shown here in Malta. On the other hand, why not? "One-Man Band" was shown before "Cars" last July in my country, so why not "Boat Builders"?[/u][/i]
EDIT
Wow! "Empire Cinemas" (another cinema complex in Malta) lists MTR to be released on the
15th of March! [sarcasm]My local theatres sure are consistent in their movie release dates![sarcasm/]
