At only 7 minutes, I think we can assume it is going to have more than just the short on it. It won an Academy Award, and was co-designed by Salvador Dali. I think we can safely assume there will be at least a featurette or documentary on there somewhere.
It would be great to see a few other lost shorts and concepts on there as well.

I'm sooooooooooooo happy about "Destino"! Particularly because it was an abandoned concept for "Fantasia 2006". Maybe, included in this set, will be "One By One", "The Little Match Girl", and "Lorenzo the Cat"! I would die for this set!
Added:
I found this about "Destino":
A DVD featuring the short is planned for a 2004 release. It will include a documentary featuring John Hench and Joe Grant.
Do you think this documentary will be on the disc?

...and it was even abandoned looong before that - in the 40s. Makes it even more interesting, IMO. This sounds wonderful.

It is interesting. I can only dream what this could possibly be like. It may sound corny, but coming from a HUGE
Fantasia fan, I think that this will be amazing.

Wow. A release of the Oswalds.
Here's an approximate impression of my response on reading the news:
I'll just wind my tongue back up off the floor now...
Hopefully they get a bit of clean-up and restoration. The print I've seen of
Bright Lights has some horrible nitrate decay damage.

So then there's the question of what'll be included in the Oswald set - are they possibly going for a collection of all Disney Oswalds still in existence?

Well, you'd hope they'd include all the survivors - there's only eleven of them, after all. Easy enough to fit on a single DVD with a bumper crop of special features (hopefully, at least, a gallery of the surviving story outlines and drawings, some of which were reproduced in Walt In Wonderland).
I wouldn't expect that either this or Destino could be a two-disc set, though.

Wouldn't there be more than just 11 if they saw themselves fit to use copies from other archives?

Actually it didn't win an academy award, it was robbed by the pathetic

All right, I know we've been through this before, and it seems I forgot. Too bad, though.

I'm not sure if Bill Cotter ever said anything on the subject, but when I first found out about the Legacy collection I listed the People and Places series as something I personally hope to see released through the collection. I always see the clips on the Vault Disney DVDs and heard there was even one made about Disneyland for international release. It would be awesome to have the series and since Disney will have already released the True Life Adventures, I feel it is a possibility for next Christmas that a wave could be released with this series.

I second what goofystitch said. I believe People and Places has been discussed as a great potential Treasure/Legacy so many times that you have gotten confused. It just seems like a logical release because People and Places was the big running series after Walt finished with the True-Life Adventures. I would love to own it, as would many of us. So we can hope...

I just got the discs this morning, so you probably won't see any just yet, outside of those sites provided with advance-advance copies.

I got a confirmation from DVDPacific today that said: We will ship your discs withing 24h. So I don't think we have to wait very long now. On the other hand, since I live in europe, I will probably get them last..

Well DVD Pacific shipped mine on Monday, so they should be wandering around in some mail sorting office! And here was me worrying that I wouldn't get them in time for Christmas.
If DVD Pacific are shipping them a week before release, it means the Treasures could arrive before Christmas too!
