I am actually a little worried about this release, no info and both this trailer and the Sleeping Beauty trailer has been rated by the BBFC, that isn't normal...

I wish this movie and The Jungle Book would both release in both DVD and Blu-ray formats, but this is gonna happen 7 years from now ! :(
There's probably gonna be a preview of the 101 Dalmations dvd in the Jungle Book dvd this October, hopefully theyll shed some light on the Sleeping Beauty Blu-ray as well !

Well I don't think we've ever gotten a look at cover from the spring releases until after the fall release. So i'm not too worried about that. I am worried that the review I have read about The Jungle Book's PE have said nothing about 101 Dalmatians. There should be a trailer for it on Jugle Book's PE. It just seems odd to me. I guess we're just gonna have to wait untill we can check The Jungle Book out ourselves.

And normally the US Platinums have the next two upcoming Platinums printed on the DVD Guide inside the case.

Wonder what there's written inside The Jungle Book's DVD case.

Anyhow, if we Europeans get any news on 101 Dalmatians on our JB DVD, we'll make sure to inform you Americans (and the rest of the world if possible).

In the original schedule 101 Dalmations was supposed to come out last March but it was replaced in favor of Peter Pan. I'm worried that now theyre gonna delay it again in favor of Sleeping Beauty. Seriously I think this PE is long overdue and I am sick of waiting.

I hope they don't delay it, I really want the DVD. I don't even own the movie on DVD, I only have it taped.

I hope there will be something either with Jungle Book or Meet the Robinsons.

There is a thread here about this. Could a mod merge these two threads?

No,i mean that all the Disney Princess films are only out in October and not in March, this year there's no Disney Princess film in a Platinum Edition (since Enchanted is released this year) so the Jungle Book is out in October.

I don't think there is a chance of a delay in the 101 Dalmatians Platinum Edition. It is long overdue for recieving it's platinum status, and let's not forget it was confirmed in writing in the Peter Pan: Platinum Edition for a March 2008 release.

With Disney having banned smoking from its films recently, would 101 Dalmatians be released without Cruella smoking?

Nah they'll keep it.

She's the villian and smoking thus the act and her are "evil"

Besides it's timeless - I really doubt they'll go in and edit her frame by frame of her smoking...

(...well you never know)

If they do I will be done with Disney for ever.

Changing art that reflects a different period in time just to make it more PC is dispicable.

I'm still fuming over the edits made to the compilation films and espically about what they did to Fantasia. If Cruella's smoking is editied out I'll be done.

Though I think it would be vary hard to remove from the film, but that could explain the delays. I just really hope not.

They never edited (to my knowledge) Donald's cigar scene in the short Mickey's Birthday Party on the Mickey Mouse in Living Colour dvd. So I don't see why they would edit Cruella.

if smoking is deemed as BAD, and editing out the cigarette to remove all traces of badness, then whats left of cruella? she'll be a kind old lady who happens to like puppies.that' all.
