Yeah I got a pretty good deal on it too. Originally it was $40 but they marked it down to $29.99, sweet!!! It is awesome, I watched more than half of it all ready... that Michael Jefferson episode is a classic. Not to mention Passion of the Jew.

<b>Arrested Development season 3</b>
<b>Pretty in Pink SE</b> - I didn't intend to buy this as I already have the original release and PIP isn't my favorite John Hughes movie, but it was only $9.9something at Wal-Mart. I thought, "Eh, what the hell. Besides, it contains the original ending!" Shiny slipcover pretty!

Nobody was more shocked than me than when I check my mail last night. Not only did my cheque from Project Greenlight arrive (thanks guys, that paid for my flight to Hong Kong!), but a HUGE box of review discs arrived with my name on them.
Stuff included:
<IMG src="

Grizzly Man R4 PAL
Been curious about this one for a while, especially given the 'grizzly' fate of the hero. Also been watching a few Werner Herzog films of late, so it will be interesting to compare to this. As with all of them listed below, expect a review on Bits in the near future.
<IMG src="
http://www.madman.com.au/images/slicks/ ... 2447wp.jpg" height=107 width=77>
Favela Rising R4 PAL
Must confess that I'd not heard of this before, but I do love a good documentary and this one seems to have a bit of buzz around it (if the 'Net is to be believed). Afro-Reggae movement in Brazil coupled with life on the streets? Could be a winner...
<IMG src="
http://www.madman.com.au/images/slicks/ ... 2501wp.jpg" height=107 width=77>
Francis Verber's Comedies R4 PAL
Actually got these are three separate discs, but couldn't be bothered listing them all separately. Now, I'm not a big fan of French farce. Most of them are just pure silliness, and not in a good way. Maybe I just don't get the French sense of humour, as comedy is not always something that translates well. However, I'm willing to give these classic pairings of Gerard Depardieu and Pierre Richard a go (I have to really). Titles include:
La Chèvre,
Les Compères and most famously,
Les Fugitifs.
<IMG src="
http://www.madman.com.au/images/slicks/ ... 2414wp.jpg" height=107 width=77>
Modigliani R4 PAL
This 2004 movie starring Andy Garcia is another one that flew by my radar without notice (I suspect it is direct to DVD here in Australia). It tells "The story of Amedeo Modigliani's bitter rivalry with Pablo Picasso, and his tragic romance with Jeanne Hebuterne". I'm sure I'll learn something!
<IMG src="
http://www.madman.com.au/images/slicks/ ... 3693wp.jpg" height=107 width=77>
Lupin the Third: Secret of Mamo R4 PAL
Not seen this one, although I have seen one of the other Lupin films. No doubt this will be a bit of harmless fun as well.
<IMG src="
http://www.madman.com.au/images/slicks/ ... 2418wp.jpg" height=107 width=77>
Mystics R4 PAL
Not much to say about this other than it "looks very Irish" and stars 'Grandpa' (David Kelly) from
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005).
<IMG src="
http://www.madman.com.au/images/slicks/ ... 2505wp.jpg" height=107 width=77>
Paris, Texas R4 PAL
Absolutely one of my favourite films ever, and I was about two seconds away from buying this when the package arrived. Wim Wenders' film may certainly not be for all tastes, and while I hate to say that some films are more enjoyable if you are from a certain gender, the male angst in this film is easily relatable to most blokes. Can't wait to hear the restored picture and sound on this one.
<IMG src="
http://www.madman.com.au/images/slicks/ ... 2108wp.jpg" height=107 width=77>
The Grudge Boxset R4 PAL
Much to my shame, I have never seen the original versions of these Japanese horror films. I thought the remake was kind of 'meh', but this is a good excuse to catch up before the US sequel comes out. Forgive me for saying, but there is certainly a common theme running in many Japanese horror films (put-out spirits from the past return to seek revenge on the living), but they usually work anyway. Given the director went on to remake these himself, it will be interesting to compare.
<IMG src="
http://www.madman.com.au/images/slicks/ ... 2487wp.jpg" height=107 width=77>
Umberto D R4 PAL
Now THIS is a film that will break your heart. When a story is about an elderly man trying to make ends meet, and the only thing that keeps him going is his little dog, you know that you are going to have to keep a box of Kleenex handy. My Kleenex have Disney Princesses on them. Do yours? Hmmm? Beautiful film, and I also highly recommend director Vittorio de Sica's
Bicycle Thief which deals with a similar theme.
<IMG src="
http://www.madman.com.au/images/slicks/ ... 2442wp.jpg" height=107 width=77>
Blood and Bones R4 PAL
From "Beat" Takeshi Kitano comes a film I know little about, but the title has got me in already!
<IMG src="
http://www.madman.com.au/images/slicks/ ... 3683wp.jpg" height=107 width=77>
Eureka Seven V01 R4 PAL
This is the only bit of TV anime I got this time around, which is a shame because I have been enjoying the last few volumes I received. Sounds very much like something you'd find in the afternoon for pre-teen boys (extreme sports and machines), but it could be fun!
<IMG src="
http://www.madman.com.au/images/slicks/ ... 2106wp.jpg" height=107 width=77>
Shinboi R4 PAL
Described as 'Romeo and Juliet - ninja style'. How can I go wrong?
<IMG src="
http://www.madman.com.au/images/slicks/ ... 2105wp.jpg" height=107 width=77>
Samurai Saga R4 PAL
Described as 'Cyrano de Bergerac - Samurai style'. How can I go wrong?
<IMG src="
http://www.madman.com.au/images/slicks/ ... 2103wp.jpg" height=107 width=77>
Spider Forest R4 PAL
Described as...no, only kidding. Still, a forest full of trapped souls and the promise of martial arts action? How can I go wrong?

I took the plunge and got my first Disney Treasures DVD. I bought<b>Tomorrowland: Disney in Space and Beyond</b> from an Amazon Marketplace seller. I don't think I'll collect everything from each wave; just a few things here and there.
