Aaaaaand here's the trailer in glorious, high-res Quicktime!
Wow, what a difference from the crappy (but not that bad) quality bootleg. The colors just pop out at you everywhere. Viewing it frame by frame gives you better glimpses of the land, the creatures, and the scenes portrayed. With all of this footage revealed to us in the teaser alone, I can't wait for the theatrical trailer!

Wow. I just finished watching the trailer with jaw agape! Phenomenal! You're right, DK, there's a big difference this time around. Thanks for posting! I have faith that this movie is going to be very well-done!

ABC showed Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets last night and on top of that, had footage of the new HP movie and on top of that, had the trailer for Narnia! Nice to see it without a couple of heads in the way and no blurriness (especially on my new HDTV

)
Cannot wait. Cannot wait. Cannot wait.

Two fantasy pictures.
Both with epic battle scenes.
So yeah, they are BOUND to look similar. But I didn't see any giant lion or a unicorn in the battle scenes of LOTR
A lot of LOTR's battle scenes reminded me of Braveheart. It's natural to compare them, but I mean, come on, battle scenes with horses are of course going to remind you of other movies. Means nothing to me. They story is very different in some respects from LOTR.
Lord of the Rings was before the Narnia books. Anywho I don't think it will do as well as Harry Potter in theatres.

Looks like Disney will borrow a page from Dreamworks this time around, employing the PoE strategy for
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. There will be two soundtracks released for the movie. The first will be a Contemporary Christan Music CD with the genre's most popular artists singing songs inspired by the film and the book series. The second will be the same thing, but with popular rock & pop artists. I'm pleased to see Disney continuing to acknowledge the Christian aspects of the series in such a way. Singles will be launched to radio from both albums. Hopefully the score will be released too. Here's the link from LaughingPlace.com:

and I don't think Harry Potter will do as well as Finding Nemo did in theatres. And the Harry Potter films are rubbish compared to gems like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and other films in IMDB's top 250 films of all time. They aren't good, and I prefer Bambi to Harry Potter any day
The chronicles of narnia trailer looks interesting

The Chronicles of Narnia was made into a BBC mini series covering four of the books and split into three movies:
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (1988)
Prince Caspian and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader (1989)
The Silver Chair (1990)
All of those links will take you to their IMDB pages which in turn link to their Amazon DVD pages.

That's because I had originally linked to bootleg copies of the trailer before it was officially released. You can find the trailer, now, in various formats on this page:

I'll edit my first post accordingly.

That is INDEED the question! (And I'm hoping for both). For <i>PoE</i>, she was on the main soundtrack instead of the Inspirational album. For this one, I would guess the Christian soundtrack, if for no other reason than she's #1 on that chart right now, and because her song would most likely be religious in nature and this story isn't quite as overtly religious as <i>PoE</i>'s. You can rest assured that her manager has already been contacted about this (by moi) and I'm hoping that if she isn't already involved, I convince them to look into it!

Of course, EMI will probably give their own CCM roster first dibs.

I saw the trailer when I went to see the first showing of Star Wars Episode III at midnight. It looked really good and almost Lord of the Rings-like. What was better was when the trailer ended, there was a loud applause from the people in the theater. This film will definitely be a Disney sucess.

Disney will definitely have a good year with this movie and the Pirates of the Carribean sequel coming out next summer.

I have a feeling this is going to beat Finding Nemo for being Disney's biggest grossing movie. The teaser-trailer looked absolutly awesome! I think alot of people are going to see it. There are even people who were boycotting Disney decided to stop the boycott just so they can see The Choronicals of Narnia in theaters.

As for me I'm just reading the books now and I'm really enjoying them. I can't wait to see the movie in theaters!

Hmm... are these the self-same "Christians" that persecute Disney for "condoning" homosexuality, and hiding subliminal sexual messages in its animated films? Nice double standard there... go see a nice safe family fantasy filled with good Christian allegory, even if it's produced by that "evil" film company you hate so much!

So it was the AFA? Not surprising, but I didn't know it was them. I'm actually a member, but I don't pay dues or anything; I just get information about all their causes and projects. Some of them I support, some of them I do not, but I like to be informed. I've been a member for a long time and not once have I seen anything come from them about Disney, so obviously their opposition hasn't been an active one for a while.

I'm getting really excited about the release of this movie! Am I the only one who can't stop watching the trailer?

The music is just spine-chilling!
