Yeah, most people, including myself, consider Rob to be right up there with Jim Cummings, Frank Welker, and others as one of the many modern voice actor legends. Y'know the "Yakko's World" segment where he makes a song out of naming all of the world's nations? Rob nailed that whole thing in one take.

Back on topic, the Animaniacs set is at the top of my DVDs-to-get list, and I've been coming across it everywhere. My only problem is that I've no money at the moment. Gah!

A few people have been commenting on the DVD transfer being disappointing, can anyone post a screenshot please? I'm thinking of importing but I want to see the quality first.

Ah well it has been out for a while they only do speicials for like a week or something. I know that mine only cost 30 bucks but that's because I got it a day after it was released.

IGN DVD posted reviews for Animaniacs and Pinky & the Brain, and their reviews have screencaps. They gave the transfer for the Animaniacs set a 3 out of 10, but the audio got an 8 out of 10 (it's got 5.1 surround sound, ya'know).

I've got a question regarding the packaging for others who own this... I just picked it up today, as the release was delayed in Canada 'til the 8th.

My question is this... looking at the front cover of the set and turning it so you can see the left spine (the one that's closed off), it's an entirely black background with Vol. 1 at the top, "Animaniacs" around the middle, and the WB logo at the bottom all centered in the spine.

Now, the reverse spine (the one that's actually the spine of the booklet-thing you pull out, is the look of this spine identical to the other? Or is the "Vol. 1", "Animanaics" and WB logo off-centre somewhat, with the beginning of some scene, or picture taking up the first quarter of the spine.

I ask because I'd just like to know of the printing is off register on my case, and whether I should exchange it before actually taking the wrap off. To me, it makes me sense for the two spines to be identical, but mine is as I described above.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, not really. I just wish I had a chance to go to Best Buy before this happened!! Oh well, I'll just go order it on Amazon as that's my cheapest bet (though annoying b/c I have to wait for it even more now). Now I've got to find the UD code...

I was talking about the code you were supposed to put in the address bar when you are buying items at UD (www.amazon.com/something/something/thehomeimprovemz) so that UD get's support from the purchase. But while I was looking for it, I found out that the system to support UD through Amazon is different now. I still don't know if I did it right, but we shall see.

FYI (and FEI - for everybody's information), UD's link to Amazon appears in the bottom line of links on the top right-hand side of the forum (what should be the seventh line for most browsers). As do links to other affiliated etailers. Tried to make that as easy as possible for people to find without a hassle, but I guess there's a tendency to overlook large banks of links even when they're right at the top.

That's what I'm probably going to do. Buy it off Amazon.
