Sorry. I don't know inside info on Rapunzel. I bet this old professor would know though. Rapunzel is one of my favorite fairy tales too and I hope the Disney version is as good as the early 90's films.

Since you're from Italy I wonder if I've traded PVCs with you before? I've traded with a lot of italians over the years.

Thank you very much, UncleEd!!! You are a very nice person!

What means PVCs? Sorry, but I don't understand! I apologise...

I'm happy that you know Italian people! Wonderful!

Thank you for the welcome!!!

Yes, Italian is correct!

Back to Rapunzel...

I read on IMDB that GARY TROUSDALE and KIRK WISE will co-direct the movie with GLEN KEANE!

Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise directed "Beauty and the Beast", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and "Atlantis - The Lost Empire"...

I know that imdb isn't too reliable, but I post this news!

Anyone knows something more?

If this is true, we're gonna get a magnificent movie!!!
Those three produced one of the most beautiful movies ever, and they get along quite well, I think.
Gary and Kirk know how to deal with a difficult story, since BatB had been a challenge, and Glen Keane is oe of the best in his job, so those three know what they are doing. Glen surely will accept advise from them, since they know each other, and I think Trousdale and Kirk will give him enough freedom to direct, so that it can remain "his" movie.

Wow! This is great news veu! I hope it turns out to be true. Those three people are made for each other. What a magical concoction:

1) Master 2D animator (Glen Keane)
2) Two magnificent movie directors (Trousdale and Wise)
3) Groundbreaking CGI imagery

This is currently the most anticipated Disney film on my list (even more than The Frog Princess).

[places hat of wisdom and knowledge upon head] Yes but too many cooks can spoil the 4th coming of Disney ;) [removed hat of wisdom and knowledge from head]

That was ichabod's thought for the day.

If that Wise & Trousdale news is true, why it isn't reported anywhere else before IMDB? And not since, either.
I highly doubt this news is true but I pray it is :) BATB and THOND are among my favourite classics and of course these directors have something to do with that since I love both of these films.

The news about Gary and Kirk working on Rapunzel is untrue. Kirk Wise and Gary Trousedale have no association with Disney today.

Rhett Wickman from LaughinPlace wrote a new article in which he reveal the new co-director of Rapunzel: he is Dean Wellins... here the link: http://www.laughingplace.com/News-ID511390.asp

About the plot of the story, Rhett Wickman wrote: the film utilizes a contrasting story of contemporary lovers and fairy-tale lovers... so I think Disney don't canceled the plot with the modern day girl (named Claire) and boy (Vincent) who are transformed into Rapunzel and her Prince...

What do you think?

Aaaaww, I wanted Wise and Trousdale, but still, I think this movie only needs a little help, since the story itself (the original fairytale) is absolutely great.
I guess this is quite a good choice, and we'll still get a great movie. At least the animation will be stunning, so that's something we can look forward to.

The animation of Repunzel looks quite good, but I really wish it was in
2-D and the Unbraided part of the title is ridiculous!

Hopefully those two will keep the movie from being too horrid, though I've never been a huge fan of any of the films they've worked on. The combination of my least favorite fairy tale of all time and the much overused CGI doesn't look like an enjoyable experience.

"Unbraided" is no longer part of the title.

After seeing that picture I'm desperate to see more! My god that looks beautiful.
But do you suppose that is just some painting filmmakers to learn about and not done by Disney? I hope it's Disney.
Drooling...

I cannot believe how utterly beautiful and magical that picture is! I know its just concept art, but it's breath-taking none the less.

I really really hope they keep with the traditional tale and not make it a modern twist on the classic. If they keep it traditional, they really could have a beautiful, magical and breath taking movie on their hands!

DISNEY, DO NOT SKREW THIS ONE UP! ! !
