What do you think will be her offical dress?

The color green is sorely missing in the princess line that I've noticed

Me too! I especially like the first pic. I hope this movie becomes a major blockbuster!

She looks great in both dresses, but I agree with you that green is missing. I think the green dress looks best on her, I think the dress is more unique and the green just looks good on her skin color. Plus, green is my favorite color. I think part of the reason why I am so excited about this film is because all the marketing and advertising for it (like for the sign that displays the film's title) uses my 3 favorite colors: green, yellow and purple. Then the other day I realized why those are probably the three main colors used for this film: Mardi Gras.

This movie can't come soon enough. There should be an emoticon for checking your watch.

Is Naveen supposed to be Latino? I get they were trying to avoid the "he's too stereotypical" but when I read he was a prince I figured he'd be African American or Caucasian. And just when I was thinking how awesome Tiana's dress was, and how the lilly pad theme was perfect... Not too hot on the prince.

I hope her green dress becomes the default one, but they've been using the blue one a lot lately, which is sucky...

And I'm digging Naveen's lily pad-esque green duds. When you dress like that, you're almost asking to be turned into a frog.

Not if you count Ariel's tail. :p

True, but half the time she has feet and is in wearing her pink dress. We need a more consistent green princess, Chris, especially in this green society.

I like them all, very close to Enchanted... except for Facilier. I think it might be because of the concept art, to me the character don't fit with the others...

Naveen comes from a country Disney made up for this film to be politically correct.

His accent sounds french,
his features have been considered Greek looking,
and his complexion has been labeled as Latino.

But... it's supposed to be 'Maldonian' - from 'Maldonia'.

And I hate Mama Odie's design, not at all how I pictured her. I was most excited to see a design of her than any other character.

I thought so too, he's of a completely different style to the rest of the characters. He reminds me of the mental institute guy rom BatB.

I disagree about Mama Odie. She's mostly like how I imagined, except the mummy-turban thing. But, regardless, I like her. I mean, she is a Voodoo priestess/fairy godmother--what did you expect? I think she'll look awesome in the film, when she's performing her magic. I also like how she has a wide-plump frame--wide characters always turn out fluid and eye-catching in film for the most part (Ursula had this aspect, which was tripled because of the tentacles and underwater effects), as well as maternal.

Still, I don't think people should trust this art to judge the film (including Facilier, Naveen, the frogs and Odie). Cinderella, Ariel and Snow White, imo, only barely reflect their characters in film (and the same with art for Ursula, now that I think of it). Ray, the firefly, who's already been seen in the teaser, definitely looks better in animation than in that clip art. Also, the picture of Facilier has to be concept, because you can't really see much of anything (as far as details). Still, the bare scraps of that design look interesting to me. He comes off very sophisticated and gentleman-ly, but also deranged. I think a design similar to this one, plus Keith David, just might end up leading to one of their greatest [male] villains, if the script doesn't turn out crappy.

I agree that this early art isn't much to go on yet, some of it kinda looks like the bad princess clip art we've all grown accustomed to and no longer think much of. :P

Anyway, love the fact that I got to see them, especially more pics of the green dress. I've had a chance to make a quick sketch, but not sure how soon I'll be able to clean it up and color it.

Rather than Character development art, most of these(with the exception of facilier) looks like they were taken from elsewhere, like the toy lines, and a digitized frame of the teaser in the case of Ray.

I made this just now, to see how they would all fit together and quite honestly - I think they all look great! I really feel like the art direction in this film is going to be mind blowing. Ever piece of concept art or character work I've seen has left me feeling like I did the first time I saw some of the other classics.

Like them or not, there's no denying that these are Disney characters. :-)

Great job on integrating all the characters seamlessly! :) (I like the character design of Facilier. It looks ... edgy).
