^It's so miniscule, I'm fine with the DVD. Was thinking about getting the Blu, but I'll just wait for the Diamond Edition to come out.

So wait, do you mail back the whole case? Or just the disc? Because I have the Steelbook edition, and I'm not too fond of the idea of mailing that around the country.

Just the disc. They mail you an envelope to mail back to them.

I'm pretty sure the Diamond will be Blu also but you never know anymore

Anyways, this is great news. I honestly thought they forgot about us or was just ignoring these calls. I'll call them when I get the time.

David S. wrote:Thanks for the info. Any word on if they are offering DVD replacements as well, for Disc 1 of the 2-Disc Platinum Edition DVD? That version is also missing the dialogue.
I just got off the phone with a representative. As of right now they are only honoring this for the Blu Ray NOT the DVD. As of yet they have no plans to honor those who own the dvd with the audio issues. Which I think ridiculous.

Does anyone know whether this corrected blu-ray address the problem that some blu-ray players (I have a Sony BDP-S770 player) were not able to access the Cine-Explore feature on this particular title (all other Disney titles with that feature work fine)?

I’ve had my prepaid envelope for a while now but am waiting to see if others are having any trouble with the exchange program before I send off my disc. Hopefully it’s non-holographic so it’ll match the rest of my discs.

Finally broke down & bought Pinocchio (& Snow White) on blu ray. Got 'em for $17.99 each at Target. I've got the original 2 disc Snow White dvd (mint) & the 70th anniversary Pinocchio 2 disc dvd (hadn't gone blu yet when they came out). Got lucky with Pinocchio as I got one with the corrected dialogue. Actually got a Snow White with a slipcover but didn't get one with Pinocchio.

It’s been less then 2 weeks since I sent off my Pinocchio Blu-ray disc to Disney and I’ve already received the corrected replacement in the mail. I watched the movie beginning to end, the lines have indeed been re-inserted and everything played perfectly. I also re-watched the whole thing with Cine-Explore and it played all the way through without a hitch (for reference, I had no problems with Cine-Explore on my original copy and I’m using a Panasonic BD-35 with the latest firmware).

I know Disney reads these boards and I just want to compliment them on how well they’ve handled this whole thing. While it was a little annoying that they pretended not to know about the issue at first, once they officially implemented the exchange program, everything has gone smooth as butter. When I called customer service, they knew what I was talking about and after confirming a few things, happily sent me a return mailer. After about a week, I received my mailer and once I finally sent it off, it was less then a 2 week wait to receive my replacement copy. The replacement copy came packaged in a paper disc envelope within a bubble mailer and was in perfect shape when I took it out. To all those on the fence as to whether they want to partake in Disney’s offer to exchange your disc, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Is the Pinocchio Blu-Ray still available?

I had wanted to purchase it about a month ago, but when I went to several stores I couldn’t find it. I thought maybe it had gone on moratorium again, but buffalobill's post makes me think it's still available and I just didn't find it.

Also, jpanimation was talking about some disc problem--is there any way to know if you’re buying an okay version? Or can you only know once you watch it? I'm worried to try an off-shop because I might get a bad version that someone else got rid of. :?

Does anyone know if this is still going on? I just sent Consumer Relations an email and I'm hoping to hear back from them soon.

Edit:

Yup, this is still going on. So if any of you still haven't gotten your disc replaced, there's still time.

I bought this from last week and received it today.

It comes with its slipcover and is still sealed but on the back of the case (not the slipcover) is a white sticker saying "Not For Individual Sale"

Does anyone why that would be on it?

Also...was the missing audio problem just on the DVD-disc or the Blu-Ray as well?

I wonder if they would replace my disc even though I've waited this long to finally do it. What is the number to call?

I've always wondered if/when there was a cut off date for these type of things. I have the original Back the Future Trilogy on DVD an I remember hearing something about a replacement of some sort.

The audio problem was a transfer problem, not a media problem so it is on both. Last I heard a couple of people from the Blu-ray.com forum had been able to still get a replacement so it is still live. For the number and original info. http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=6212

Just got off the phone with a very helpful lady over at Disney Studios Help. She said they would send out my mailing label to send back the defective blu-ray for a replacement. She also told me that The Little Mermaid in theaters has been canceled but it is still coming out on blu-ray later this year (she didn't know about a 3D home release). She didn't know anything about The Jungle Book but she did mention Aladdin getting pushed back for Peter Pan.

Sorry to bump this, but I can't remember, what was the missing dialogue on the Pinocchio DVD and Blu-ray? What line and where? Because I need to check if my copies are missing it so that maybe I can still get replacement discs since someone here recently got replacement discs for it.
