Can't say I've read anything to suggest so but I highly doubt it. You know as well as me that we get sod all. Sainsbury's hasn't had an exclusive for years.
I think at this point we should just be grateful that we are even getting a release

I won't be in the US again until the last week of October. What are the chances Target stores will still have their exclusive edition in stock?

It's one available to own on iTunes UK. But not with Frozen Fever mind you, I think that's could be physical purchase only bonus.

You know what? There's been a lot of debates on the Imdb about this issue (as well as here). While I wouldn't mind an ending where Cinderella got back on her stepfamily, the ending enhances the spirit of the fairytale.

Yes, that was an interesting article. I didn't know people wanted such bad for the stepfamily. First, the stepsisters was not that bad, certainly not as evil as their mother, and then, if Cinderella put misery on her stepfamily she'd be as bad as them, she'd sink to their level, and it would go against her character. I suppose a little punishment would have been okay, like making them do a lot of work for a while, but her forgiveness and letting them go is equally great. And they don't get off scot-free, they do have to leave the kingdom and things probably aren't good for them wherever they are.

I quite liked the ending. Given that the film was mainly based on the Charles Perrault version of the story, which had Cinderella pardon her cowering stepsisters. The fact that the stepmother and the stepsisters were forced into exile ultimately gave them some sort of punishment in my eyes, especially as the conspiracy with the Grand Duke was definitely a crime. Moreover, using something like the Grimms' ending would have been out of place given the overall tone of the film (whereas it seemed completely fine in a darker piece like Into the Woods).

Cinderella also forgave her Stepmother in
The Slipper and the Rose, so it's not like the idea is new to film either.
There's a new doll set on the Disney Store site that looks great, but I already have the Fairy Godmother. Wish there was a version with just Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters:

The ending to the movie is great! Perfect, really! Even if I think Cinderella burning down the door to escape would also be good...
Oh no! I want those dolls so bad but my mom would kill me if I bought them! I've bought a lot of other Cinderella things that are rather expensive and she got mad at me for that.
But I must say, the dolls are...not very nice-looking. The stepsisters didn't look ugly in the movie, but here...yikes! Even their mother! And also, is that red in Lady Tremaine's ball gown I see? There's not supposed to be any red, there was none in her ball gown in the film. Except a little in her yellow feather.
If you want really good-looking live-action Cinderella dolls, get the Mattel dolls. I got all of those, and they're beautiful!
But yes, I do wish I could get this Disney Store box set, too. Also, the wedding outfits box set. The only Disney Store live-action Cinderella dolls I got was Cinderella herself in her ballgown, and the Limited Edition 17 inch doll that is also her in her ballgown. That one is a treasure, and with the other dolls I have, I guess I don't need this new box set...no matter how much I want all the Disney Store dolls now!

It can be easy to expect some kind of tangible revenge against the step-family, though that would defeat the purpose of Cinderella's character.
The movie had a satisfactory ending, and I have to say, Lily James' calm and collected portrayal of Cinderella is somewhat infectious.

Yay! And the original Disney animated Cinderella was calm and collected, too.

She was certainly infectious to me! And now a good bit from Lily, too.

I Unexpctedly got my Blu-ray copy already, so I've had the chance to go through the bonus features. On the disc there's about 30 minutes of content besides Frozen Fever. The best piece is the one about making the ballroom scene. Lots of great behind-the-scenes footage and tidbits in that one.
Still, I'm really disappointed to know that close to half and hour of extras are elsewhere (DMA and Target exclusive) that I cannot watch. The lithograph the comes with the movie from DMC is nice, but small. Good thing it wasn't the main reason I bought my copy from them.

Was the DMC lithograph Cinderella running down the stairs but suspiciously looking like Scarlett Johanssen as her from the Annie Leibovitz Disney Dream photos?

Ah. Yea I think an (alternate, not the one that made it in the Disney Dream series) photo of her was used, but then again in the A Wish Your Heart Makes book it said the painting was digital, so maybe it was all new art.
