:x Please, lets not joke about it because its a touchy subject and it wouldn't be polite to do it.
Joking about any disasters, like the Titanic sinking, the 9/11 attacks, tornado outbreaks and others, are never funny.

Errm, was that even a joke? Couldn't you just as easily take that comment litterally? I mean, why not?

No, I really mean that. Neither of those disasters are jokes because people actually died in those and others were negatively affected by them.

I think he meant Semaj's original comment, which for what it's worth, I didn't interpret as an attempt to be funny, as much as an acknowledgement that sometimes predictions (such as Tangled's predicted success in Japan) don't come to pass because of circumstances no one foresaw.

My read of Semaj's original comment was that Brave will probably be successful in Japan, but that perhaps it's wise to wait and see what actually happens.

Could Semaj have exercised a little more sensitivity in the way he phrased it? Sure. But I think all of us have been guilty of that one from time to time.

There are far more constructive ways to call someone out on insensitivity than attacking them personally and with profanity. I've removed the offending posts. Not that natural disasters are entirely on topic here.

I love this poster! Japan got all the good Rapunzel posters too, they certainly know how to market a movie over there.

Also, I agree with RyGuy. I don't thing Semaj was cracking a joke but alluding to the unpredictability of that particular market based on past incidents. It may've not been worded perfectly but I don't think he was trying to be incentive.

That poster is AMAZING! Didn't know about the bear behind her until someone in the UD mention it.
Kinda reminds me of the Tarzan poster. Japan knows how to market a movie. The japan trailer is also amazing. I remember when I wasn't excited about this movie but now I am. Can't wait to see it.

Or the American marketing team at Disney needs to be replaced with new people.Mainly people who can make the movie look good and informative of what the audience will expect. :D

I still wonder if Merida having no love interest will make feminists more willingly to see this movie.I don't care if she has a love interest or not I care if she can be an engaging character that can be relatable.

I also have a feeling that Elinor will very mich be the secondary protagonist because of the fact this is the story of her relationship with her daughter.

I also wonder if the triplet brothers will be as crucial to the story as well and not just be side characters.I think the reason they are not heirs to the throne is that there is a possiblity that leaving the throne to just one brother when they are grown will make the other two fight for the crown.Besides that they are really cute with their red hair and little kilts.

Why does she have great merchandise :(
Her animation isn't as pretty as the dolls!

Man,my inner little girl is screaming out to ask my mom to buy me Merida toys for Christmas.

But yeah these will certainly get little girls buying Merida whether or not she has a love interest because of the fact that girls will just by the end of the day want a doll to play with.

Plus I think Merida will fit right in as the bachelorette of the Disney Princesses.Does anyone think she will be paired up with Jim Hawkins since he has no love interest as well?

I can see it now;Jimida for the win.

P.S. Jimida is a combination of Merida and Jim's names.
