A Walk to Remember - I've been wanting to see this for a while, and after Amy continiously raved about it, I decided to rent and watch it. I really liked it! I'm a Mandy Moore fan, and it was great to hear her sing a few times in the film. The ending was really sad, though.

A classic!

Love seeing Kim Cattrall and Estelle Getty!

Also, I was reading it's Wikipedia page and on the theatrical poster, it said it was release Feb. 13, 1987. Feb. 13th happened yesterday! This movie is exactly 22 years old (like me!

For Your Consideration - LOVED IT! Ties with Best in Show for my favorite Guest film. Still need to see Waiting For Guffman and A Mighty Wind, though.

The Uninvited - Eh. Wasn't that scary, and it was REALLY confusing. I guess it was okay, though.[/b]

Ugh! It wasn't scary at all, and the ending was so stupid! I really hated that movie.

Saw Step Brothers the other day.... Not Will Ferrel's funniest, but still pretty hilarious I thought. The whole Prestige Worldwide presentation, including the "Boats 'n Hoes" music video, had me on the floor. I give it a B or *** 1/2 out of *****.

I saw Coraline in 3-D at around 7:20 central time.....I liked it...although I don't agree that it's a family film.......

My dad took me to see it and afterwords I asked him what he thought of it...and he said (and I'll tone it down a bit to what he said) That is the weirdest and creepiest darn movie I have ever seen with you....He said that's not a children's film that's an form of an animated horror film he said how he even liked The Nightmare Before Christmas because it's plot was easier to follow and Coraline is just a horror film..

I did hear before going that a family that we know said they saw The Tale of Despreux and there was a trailer for Coraline.....apparently just the thought of seeing the trailer of Coraline scared her.....and gave her nightmares....and my dad said I agree with her...

On that note....I enjoyed it....the 3-d though didn't do much for me......compared to Bolt or some other film in 3-D......

Also this film should not be marketed as a family film as they say on tv at least in my opinion........It has film scenarios that kinda indirectly remind me of Spirited Away or other Japanese Anime Films......

The Rose - I'm torn, because I thought Sally Field's performance in Norma Rae was definitely Oscar-worthy as well, but frankly, Bette Midler should have won. She'll tear your heart out, especially during her character's last hurrah in the song "Stay With Me." (She also did a staggering performance of the song during her 1984 "Art Or Bust" HBO special, as well as her 1997 "Diva Las Vegas" HBO special. You can find both on YouTube.)

I watched The Producers (1968) last night. I think it's a classic comedy, though some of the humor and references may seem dated today.

In honor of last night's Academy Awards, I had a double feature today of Slumdog Millionaire / The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, my fourth and fifth viewings and my first and second favorite '08 films, respectively. These are both terrific films and deserving of their wins. I only wish Button could've racked up a few more statuettes.

Bring It On - Again - This was actually not that horrible, as most sequels to popular teen movies are. Bethany Joy Gaelotti (Of One Tree Hill fame) was in this, and I honestly thought she was the most hilarious character in the film and definitly the highlight.
