She's an incredibly sweet woman.[/i]
Oh, yes. She still has that sweet and energetic voice of our favorite little mermaid. You can tell if you had played Kingdom Hearts 2, a videogame released just this year.

I was looking up TLM in wikipedia and looking at all the characters pages and in Sebastians it says that his sister is Lizette Cruz... where did she come from?! :? Ive seen all the episodes from the Animated Series and of course have seen both movies and for the life of me, I cannot remember where it was mentioned he had a sister. The only family of his I recall ever seeing is his parents.

When is Disney planning to enable movie and bonus clips on the film's site? We're two weeks away from the release and the site is pretty much empty in terms of concept. I wanna get hyped lol Also, any dvd reviews that are due that we know of? The wait is killing me!!

Maybe they say that in: Sebastian's TV series
I've never seen that, but maybe this show introduces Sebastian and his family.

hmm.. thanks for bringing that up. I actually do remember watching that show. Although my memory of it is very vague and blurred. I remember Triton made an appearance or two and that it was a bunch of kids sitting at a dock or something and Samuel E. Wright singing.

I could be wrong, but what xxhplinkxx is describing sounds like one of the Samuel E. Wright Sebastian concerts they used to show on the Disney Channel. He came out with two Sebastian albums (I think I only bought the first one, because that's the only one that had Jodi on it and I was a kid so couldn't afford two CDs, ha), and at least 1 but probably two concert specials for Disney Channel. In the one I remember, I remember kids on a dock, and Sam Wright, of course, and at times he would talk to an animated Sebastian. I think it was just redubbed Sebastian animation though. Anyways, I think what bruno is talking about is the show Raw Toonage, which featured some short Sebastian cartoons, along with Bonkers before he became a cop, and stuff like that. Or, wait, was it on Marsupilami where they showed the Sebastian cartoons? Actually, I think it was on both.

Big TLM Picture Post!

I bet you're not the only one who wants to. Apparently, they already released the DVD in Japan, or someone got an early copy before the public did. I actually found this at a French forum. One of their members went to Japan. Check out Japan's back cover for the DVD:

Japan's Back Cover for The Little Mermaid 2-Disc DVD.

And for you naysayers who say the trailer doesn't have restored footage, I have compiled a comparison of the old trailer with the new trailer, which has restored footage. The old trailer footage is on the left, and the new trailer restored footage is on the right:

*I deleted everything*

I'd say that overall it's an improvement, but some restored colors actually look darker than brighter!

It seems dark......

Perhaps it's not the actual restoration.

From the same forum Disney Duster got the picture of the Japan back cover from. (Which I suspect is what Region 1 will look like.)

It looks to me like the restored footage should be the pictures on the left. Neither really looks restored. Just brightened or darkened. The clips in the trailor don't look to me like what I expect a Platinum edition restored film to look like. But the pictures magicalwands just posted look amazing! That's what I expected it to look like. Anyways, that aside, I am SO JEALOUS of Japan's slipcover!!!!! Why couldn't they do that here? It's so much nicer. I would buy 20 just to line them up and watch them glisten in the light. lol. Maybe I can find just the Japaneese slipcover on ebay...

Wow! There is a 2-disc soundtrack coming out! Too bad the first disc is the regular soundtrack with no additions and the second disc is merely pre-released covers of songs from the film plus Ashley Tisdale's "Kiss the Girl."

The color schemes look very very different. It's not suppose to be. Only the screencap of Triton looks perfect.

Ursula's body must be pale purple.

And Ariel doesn't have green eyes!

I don't think that's a real screen cap.

When I saw the film in Hollywood Ariel's fins were not that bright.

I kinda like the restoration...You can defianlty see a lot more in the backgrounds especially the first one with sebastion and the one with ursula. you can see detail...but its too dark, I like the brightness in the first one but the detail in the second one.

Those extra bright screencaps where it looks glowy are just the lithographs there not actually screen shots from the movie.

But if those really are the Lithographs then they look really awful. That's not the color Ariel's fins have.

Is anybody else having trouble accessing the littlemermaiddvd.com site? It seems that there is a new page up the you must click "Enter Site" to go in. Everytime a click on it, it simply refreshes the page. I know I have Flash and I tried it with my Pop Up Blocker off so I am not sure what is going on. Sometimes when I try it the older site still comes up with the Mobile store still saying "Coming Soon," when we already know it is up and running.
