No, thanks. I don't know what they were thinking with this rendition. Neither the arrangement nor the male vocals suit the song. I'm going to stick with the movie version.
I also think the song would've been better suited for a female artist. And I thought it would be more different from the movie version, like Demi Lovato's version of "Let It Go".
Musical Master wrote:After watching it a few times, I really admire how different "Into the Unknown" is in comparison to "Let it Go". The latter feels like a power song and staged as such whereas the former is most certainly in the vein of a classic Disney "I Want" song.
I thought it would remind of "Let It Go" more visually, but it doesn't. Elsa only uses her magic briefly at the end and it's different here because she doesn't control it.

I thought the "Into the Unknown" scene was underwhelming. I don't expect them to do the same thing with "Let it Go" but this is supposed to be their show stopper. It wasn't.

I hope I like it better than you, Sotiris, since I was looking forward to Urie's rendition. Hard to imagine he could be worse than Demi Lovato at any rate.
While I'm not fond of Demi Lovato's voice, I did like the pop-rock arrangement they did on the song as well as the new bridge they wrote. I was pleasantly surprised when the bridge was later incorporated into the Broadway adaptation.
disneyprincess11 wrote:My thoughts! And from that preview, it literally sounds like the instrumental version of the original song and Brandon is rushing through it.
They sped up the tempo so that's why it feels like the singer is rushing through the song.
D82 wrote:I also think the song would've been better suited for a female artist. And I thought it would be more different from the movie version, like Demi Lovato's version of "Let It Go".
I thought it would be more different too. There's nothing really new to this arrangement aside from some bells and whistles here and there.

Thanks so much for posting! Like with the Elsa strut joke, I didn't like the Mickey Mouse sight gag either. I don't like meta jokes that are a wink at the audience and don't make sense in-universe. It doesn't qualify as an Easter egg either since it's so obvious and in your face.

I'm bit disappointed with "All Is Found". I was expecting a nicer, more memorable tune. It was a tad bland as far as lullabies go. I'm going to wait for the full version though before forming a final judgement.

The 'Into the Unknown" sequence went exactly as I expected based on the footage from the trailers. It wasn't as visually imaginative as the "Let It Go" sequence but it was still nice.

It's true they could have done more with the visuals. Here the song was more powerful than the footage whereas with "Let It Go", the song and visuals were of equal intensity.

This poster, which I really like btw and I guess this movie’s actual visuals won’t do justice to it, reminds me a lot of certain scenes from “James and the Giant Peach” with the Nokk being a substitute for the rhinoceros.

I also expected more from it, but who knows, maybe the full version can still be good.

Keep your eyes open for these Easter eggs in the film.
There are additional Easter eggs to keep an eye out for. A Norwegian Fjord horse on a nightstand adjacent to Elsa’s bed is included as a tease of the Nokk water horse Elsa will face off with later in the film. The horse is actually modeled after an actual treasured keepsake of art director David Womersley, who himself is an Easter egg. His likeness is in the face of one of two carved wooden men holding hammers above an Arendelle village door. The other? Production designer Mike Giaimo. And here’s an extra bonus Jennifer Lee offers D23 fans: Near the end of the film, some familiar characters from the first Frozen film will show up “in their own way.”

Going by that, it looks like Hans will show up in the end-credits scene after all (unless they're referring to Gerda and Kai or Marshmallow lol).

thanks for posting these. I read one of them (unfortunately you have to sign up to read more than one article and Id rather not.) I was hoping they'd mention something about why they chose to be so anachronistic with the costume designs.

I wonder what she means by they'll show up in "their own way"? anyway I'm not expecting anything meaningful or special.

Yeah, I'm not sure what that means at all. Maybe Hans learns that Elsa has left the kingdom and considering it defenseless, he teams up with the Duke of Weselton to invade.

But that should be set up during the film and not come out of nowhere.
