Disney Def redid the transfer!

It looks like a mixture of the new and old colors lol. I cannot wait to have this in my hands already! I want Sept to fly by!!!!
They added back the mistake where the beast says "You wanna, wanna, stay in the tower?"
http://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/anima ... ideos.html
I cannot wait!

I still don't see much of a difference in the clips. The colors still look the same as they do on the PE DVD. I'm sorry if I'm bringing up that issue again.

By the way, there's some more pictures in the gallery part of the site.

I'm with DisneyJedi on this one. The colors in the clips seem to be the same from the PE, but aside from the new pictures that were previously mentioned, I didn't see any new ones. My hope that the new restoration will look like the pics is slowly dwindling.

Now that's a Collector's Cover, it's part of the Iron Pack cover, the article above, explains why Disney's goin with Iron Pack covers instead of steel book covers.

this look like a Chinese new year red envelope

i don't understand,
RED always is not BATB's color.
it's hard to believe such a big big big company like Disney
couldn't find someone right to design a product.

No, they don't exist. It stemmed from
this post I made, in which I offered enigmawing some popcorn and milk buds:

Woah . . . wait a minute! Take a closer look at those so-called Milk Duds!

And since then, we'd use Milk Buds instead of Milk Duds, even incorporating it into some of our favorite Disney movies...

(apologies to anyone who clicked this thread to find more info about the Diamond Edition and instead got a bunch of Milk Buds-ified pictures)

Beauty and the Beast: Diamond Edition

The gallery does look great, the movie just has to look like that!
That Iron Pack cover needs better drawn Belle and Beast, and a better surrounding background. It should be deep red like the rose or deep blue, those have to do with the film, and there should probably be the faintest resemblance of a castle background in the red or blue.
Scaps, why did she change it to Milk Buds in the first place?

Earlier in the thread we had a conversation about the colors of the popcorn and milk duds boxes that was more-or-less mocking the colors arguments. She wrote about how the Milk Duds might not be Hershey's, but
a GoodTimes rip-off that well-meaning grandparents picked up by mistake...
enigmawing wrote:Escapay wrote:
Yes, the red in the box is wrong.

I was in a rush so instead of getting the true Delicious Nutritious boxes, I had to pick up the Delicious Nutritious Special Edition boxes. It's a lighter shade of red because the box designer thought it would appeal more in today's society, as blood-red has a stronger connotation that just isn't appropriate for popcorn. But the Milk Duds, I don't see how you think the yellow is too bright! I got it direct from the source: Hershey, Pennsylvania! And of course it has dimension, just look at the thing! Just LOOK AT IT! Maybe you need to get your eyes checked.

Sigh . . . see what happens whenever you pick up the special edition of something? *tisk tisk* The colors are wrong, all wrong. Walt would be rolling in his grave if he knew we were eating out of such . . . what's the word I'm looking for . . .
tarnished snack containers while watching the DAC's.
And as for the Milk Duds, I AM looking at it! I'll have you know I'm related to the Hershey family (true story!) so I should be an unquestionable expert on this matter. Are you sure you didn't pick up some Goodtimes candy disguised as Hershey's? I know a lot of well-meaning grandparents make that mistake . . .

I have to admit, that I am still PO'ed at the fact that there is no plans for a collectors edition for this movie. Out of all of Disney's cannon, they should know that this one would sell well.

I think it's just background noise, sort of like marble floors or something.
I actually like it. My only complaint would be that the cover might look better if Mrs. Potts and Chip were switched with Lumiere and Babette. Mrs. Potts would actually be looking in the right direction, and the lovers would be in the center with Belle/Beast. Or they could've used a better picture of Mrs. Potts where her and Chip are more centered (sort of like how they're snuggled up together in the last part of "Beauty and the Beast").
But it's easier to just plop the same clip-art on everything, isn't it?

I hope so. Since the Blu-ray version comes with all 4 versions of the film and the most extensive set of supplements ever, it would certainly be a shame to miss out (well, at least I'm lucky enough that my library already has the Blu-ray on order but I'd still like to own).
ajmrowland wrote:and can somebody post another link? IMDB with videos and my computer are not a blend. Nothing to do with my computer, but some sites think I cant play videos.
Try Target's website. As I said before, all these clips, except for one or two, have been on their site (although at a lower quality) for a couple of months now.
ajmrowland wrote:I dont like the Iron Cover. too pink.
I don't like it either, but then again, the only Disney steelbook I liked was
Sleeping Beauty's. That one would've made the coolest digibook as it already looked like a book.

Four versions? I thought there were only three. Let's see... the only versions I know of are the original theatrical version, the work-in-progress version and the special edition with "Human Again". What's the fourth?

I mentioned this earlier but I guess my post got buried under the avalanche of activity.
jpanimation wrote:Anyways, the official Beauty and the Beast Diamond Edition website has confirmed that the bonus DVD (that comes with the combo pack) will contain the Work in Progress Edition while the Blu-ray disc will contain the Original Storyboard Version. This is what I was guessing they'd do, as the DVD can then just branch the new footage while the storyboard would've been a whole separate movie (hell, the Ghibli DVD's have second discs for their storyboard versions). So this is great news. If you buy the Blu-ray, you get the Original Theatrical Release, the Special Extended Edition, the Original Storyboard Version, and the Work in Progress Edition. Cool beans.
