Great find!

Where was that?
In The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition extras. In the "@DisneyAnimation" one. Now, it doesn't focus on Frozen, there's just those pictures (You actually see two seconds of the animator working with that), some concept arts we've already seen and the reindeer that was brought to the studio to draw Sven. That's everything from Frozen you get in that content. But It's actually about how working in WDAS is, about what animators do. It could have been included in any other blu-ray, there's not that much of TLM.

You write in English very well. Had you not disclosed otherwise, I would have assumed English was your native language.
You raise interesting points. I am not certain of the current culture in Europe, but if Disney made a movie about children taking a journey without parents nowadays, people would flip out! In the US many parents seem to assume their children will imitate what they see in movies. Perhaps that was part of the reason behind that part of the story change.
Thank you very much! You are very kind, but I don’t believe my English is that good. I must have been lucky this time. I studied English several years ago, but I have forgotten a lot of things since then.
And I think you are right, that could have been one reason for the age change. I didn’t thought about that.
But I love stories where children live adventures on their own like Treasure Island or The Chronicles of Narnia.
Warm Regards wrote:I think the aging of the characters was so that a romance side plot could be included. Can you imagine if they kept Gerda and Kai as kids, but gave them a romance? Yeah, kind of weird unless they did a time jump or something.
That’s probably the main reason for the change, but they could have made them at least teenagers like Taran and Eilonwy from The Black Cauldron. They could have started as friends and at the end they could have given hope for a future romance.

Just thought about this,
If done right, this could be the best 3D experience. With the snow coming out towards you in the blizzard and Elsa's swirls coming out. I'm excited.. I'm already looking forward to the tree from the App scene cause it looked like it was animated specifically to come out of the screen.

I don't think it would be really worth it and it would be deleted toooooo fast (specially since TLM diamond edition is not even out in America) but, ok, I will
We all should see if there's any video of the singing dolls. Specially from Anna since we haven't heard her song.

ok that is really odd!
you have to understand, Mattel is really really anti-villain. They never make toys of the villains for their Disney Princess lines unlike the Disney Store. DS has been making villain dolls & figures & other stuff for a while now so i wasnt suprised when they made a Hans doll. But I wasnt expecting Mattel to touch Hans. So now here he shows up in this pack & is being represented in a "positive" manner next to Elsa as if theyre meant to be a couple. Were the Mattel reps not informed he was going to end up being a murderous psychopath? or is Mattel so darn shallow when it comes to the precious princess concept that Hans gets a pass just cuz he is a handsome prince? Interesting.

Disney could have told Mattel to make it so that people won't know that Hans is evil. They want them to be surprised. And from the trailer and synopsis it looks like Disney is doing that too. They're making the duke look like the villain, when its the opposite.

Am I the only person who finds it odd that we're discussing spoilers...for a movie that doesn't open for another two months? I don't even recall this happening to such an extreme before the releases of Wreck-It Ralph, Tangled and The Princess and the Frog.
Re: Frozen: Part IV
Posted: Mon Sep 09, 2013 5:54 pm
by Tangled
^ I dunno about Wreck-It Ralph (because I purposely avoided the threads/fandom for that just to avoid spoilers) but the Tangled and Princess and the Frog fandoms weren't as big at this point, and it seemed like a lot of Disney fans completely wrote off Tangled just because of the CGI and marketing. Meanwhile, with Frozen, everybody on Tumblr and other social media sites seems to trust that Disney knows what they're doing due to the fact that their last few movies have been critically acclaimed. And where there's a bigger fandom, there's more people purposely seeking out spoilers. I don't find it odd at all, it's just typical fandom behavior to seek out spoilers instead of being patient. Some fans get really antsy, and I don't blame them at all considering there's no sign of an actual trailer yet.
Not to mention, most of Frozen's novelization got publicly released. A lot of us know most of the storyline. That didn't happen with Tangled at least. I do remember someone (I believe it was Phan) who saw the movie before release and typed out a summary, but I think only a few people in this forum cared. Everyone else was content with being taken by surprise. Now, if someone were to see a pre-screening of Frozen and write a summary, I can't imagine the chaos that would follow in the fandom elsewhere.

I am pretty sure we did this for Tangled. One user (whose identity is escaping me at the moment) saw the film before it was released and basically wrote up the entire story - including a fair amount of dialog - on her blog then linked it here.
Not as sure about PatF. I remember finding out about
Tiana and Naveen getting married as frogs in the swamp prior to the film coming out. But I don't remember how far away from release date that was.
Honest question here . . . for those who get upset about things being spoiled, what exactly are you looking for in a thread such as this two months before the release? You already know the title, the premise, the cast and the release date.
I actually come here looking for spoilers.
