Thanks for posting the song. It's gorgeous!
I actually really like Mandy's voice here. She takes on a deeper quality than what I'm used to hearing from her.

Nice song, though the music is not as powerful as Beauty and the Beast, it is better than Home On the Range or for that matter Enchanted. Also Glenn Slator added no lyrics that don't make sense!

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, listening to She's In Love from the Little Mermaid Broadway and you'll understand.

I like her voice too. It would be nice to see a fanmade video with footage from the four
Tangled trailers (two domestic ones and two international) and the song "Singing to the Song of Life" which is the only song (I think) Mandy Moore performed for Disney (besides
Tangled obviously).

I actually really like this song. It sounds very classy and I can't wait to hear the rest of Menken's score and the songs. True, the song isn't brilliant. It isn't as good as Menken/Ashman and Menken/Schwartz, but it's a nice little song and it some how seems very refreshing. After finally hearing a part of the music, I am very much looking forward to this film.

Wow the music sounds very traditional to the disney princess classics
the music is
far nicer than TPATF i love Rapunzel's voice (speaking) it sounds some what different from the trailers Oh and I
Gothel her voice is so sharp and sinister - especially when she says something like
you will never leave the tower and thats final its something among those lines Thanks for Uploading
Wow this movie sounds truely beautiful i was quite surprise Rapunzel wasn't made into a more contempery story but i adore this one!
Reminds me alot of Sleeping Beauty, BatB - Again so much better than PATF

and guess what it doesn't bother me that it's in 3d coz its just has beautiful as 2d
My favourite line is when madame gothel is calling Rapunzel from the bottom of the tower - she is almost singing (Y)
-
if this is a spoiler some of you need help
Anyway thanks again XD

I assume the background music of the Read Along is the actual score from Menken.

THANK YOU SOTIRIS! See, you finally got to share the actual music with us after all! : )
The song is indeed very beautiful, classic all the way. I read the lyrics first and it's not quite the way I imagined hearing it in my head, and I can't decide which I liked better, ha. But this really does sound quite perfect for the film.
Oh, but please tell me, doesn't she just say "What once was mine" thrice, never "What once was fine"? I listened over and over and it still sounded like mine instead of fine.
Also, ANYONE WHO READ THE BOOKS, I have a question: Is Flynn's real name Bastian, and is he really a Prince?
The music sounds great so I think it is Menken's score. This really should be freaking called Rapunzel, it's so classic and true to the story...I mean, turns out Mother Gothel was always keeping the plant, so it is like they stole it from her garden...I didn't listen to the whole thing though, I must leave some surprises!
OMG I just realized the song could apply to trying to get the original title back! "Save what has been lost, bring back what once was mine"...

You're probably right. It makes more sense that way. I wasn't so sure myself when I first heard it.

Are you at liberty to share
what his real name is, then? I'd really like to know....

I don't think they reveal his name in the movie, I think he just mentions his old name sucked and he changed it to a hero he looked up to?

No, in the junior novel, Flynn tells Rapunzel his real name after being chased into a cave (I don't want to give too much away). He does tell her a little bit about the real Flynn Rider later and how he looked up to the real Flynn Rider.

Oh, so they do reveal it, nice. xD Do they reveal what his dream is? In his character interview, it was mentioned in passing and in the trailer, too, so it made me wonder.

Thank you so much
Sotiris for posting those videos! Many Moore is PERFECT for Rapunzel. I am
SO excited for this movie!!!!!!!

... But I do have a thought.....
if Rapunzel's tears are magic as well as her hair, why would Gothel die right away? If they hadn't realized that her tears were magic, shouldn't Gothel have just started to age slowly until the magic currently inside her ran out? And if Rapunzel's tears touched her she would just go back to being young again?

Flynn reveals his dream during the tavern scene.

I believe the point was that the magic was inside of Rapunzel, it just happened to transport through the tears. Also, Gothel doesn't die right away, she sees herself aging rapidly in a mirror and then turns into dust. Rapunzel's tears probably would have helped Gothel become young again, but she was crying after Gothel turned into dust.

And remember Scarred4life about Gothel she apparently ages twice as fast than normal because of how she was using the magic? That's what I partly read before trying not to spoil anymore!
