... But I do have a thought..... if Rapunzel's tears are magic as well as her hair, why would Gothel die right away? If they hadn't realized that her tears were magic, shouldn't Gothel have just started to age slowly until the magic currently inside her ran out? I believe the point was that the magic was inside of Rapunzel, it just happened to transport through the tears. Also, Gothel doesn't die right away, she sees herself aging rapidly in a mirror and then turns into dust.
